Short and Sweet
No one had ever made her feel like this before; she hadn't slept in days because she was thinking of him. How could she have been so dumb? He didn't like her the way she did. She knew it. How could she have let herself fall for him like that? She had to ignore her feelings. How could she ruin their friendship? Why couldn't she accept the fact that he didn't love her? She had to stop thinking about him so much.

He thought of how much he loved her as he sat on his bed. He wanted to tell her, but he didn't want to be rejected or ruin their friendship. He couldn't stay like this forever. He just couldn't let go. He knew it would never happen, but he kept thinking about that dream that he had so many nights. The one where she kissed him, forever and ever. The only thing breaking them apart was the alarm clock that rang every morning taking him back to reality. He looked at the picture of her on his night table the one where she was smiling her beautiful smile and wearing her tight blue dress with the tiny white angels on it dancing in the clouds. He threw the picture in his drawer. He put his hands over his face and rubbed his eyes. He couldn't do this anymore he had to let go no matter how hard it was.

Sora sat down and cried although she tried so hard to not think of him he kept falling into her dreams. She loved him so much, but she couldn't force him to love her back. She knew they would never be together. She would just have to forget that she ever loved him. She just had to stand up and face reality. She couldn't live in a fantasy world anymore hoping one day he would love her back. She just had to ignore the whole idea or she could ruin their friendship.

Tai couldn't let go. He tried to ignore how he felt, but every time he saw Sora he felt the pain in his stomach. Why couldn't he let go? He couldn't tell her how he felt. She would just reject him and it would ruin the friendship between them that was so strong. He opened his drawer to get his comb out and saw her picture smiling up at him. The pain in his stomach became worse as he stared at it frozen with the hurt he felt inside. He grabbed the photo and threw it across the room. He was so upset that tears started flooding his eyes. He couldn't take the pain anymore. He would let go. He had to.

Sora watched Tai walk down the hall. All her emotions that she was trying to hide for so long suddenly flooded her body. She wanted to cry, but painfully she held back the tears. She couldn't let anyone see her like this. They couldn't know.

Tai was upset. He didn't talk to anyone. He walked to school by himself everyday. Ate lunch by himself and walked home by himself everyday. No one knew what was wrong. They all worried. Especially Sora.
One lunch hour he was sitting alone outside on the steps. "Tai?" He heard that familiar voice, the one that had been floating into his dreams every night, the one that he had so often thought about. "what's wrong?" Sora asked as she sat down beside him. "Nothing." he said quickly in his stern voice. "Are you sure? Because you know you can talk to me, right?" said Sora looking at his sad eyes. Tai didn't answer. He stared up into her eyes. "I love you." Sora whispered. Tai wasn't sure if it was that horrible thing inside him called hope that was saying this or if it was really her. Sora looked at him. She could see in his eyes that he wasn't upset at this. "I love you." She said a bit louder this time. "Me too." said Tai. "I love you too." Then as it happened so many times in his dream she kissed him. Long and hard.
THE END!!!!
