I had to redo the story to fix some mistakes. :D

Chapter 1

"Downfall'

Chadpaw jumped up and tackled his sister, Ivypaw, "Wow! You're going be a great warrior!" Ivypaw spoke as they jumped apart,

"And I'm going to try and be clan leader! I'm going to work so hard, that Brightstar will have to choose me as deputy!" Chadpaw gloated. Moonpaw bounded down to her littermates.

"Hey! How's the prey running?" She asked, her eyes wide. "Great! Did you see the size of the Sparrow Thornpaw caught? It's so fat, it could fill all 3 of us!" Ivypaw bragged for her friend, Thornpaw trotted past them and whisked his fluffy tail across Ivypaw's flank; he trotted down the slope and into the apprentice den. Ivypaw giggled, "Ooooo, someone got some prey now…" Moonpaw teased, "Well, I wouldn't call him prey like Tigerstar." Ivypaw spoke gleefully, "SHHHH, don't say his name!" Chadpaw shouted, looking around him as if he expected Tigerstar to appear. "Ugh, don't worry about Tigerstar, he's just a nursery tale for kits." Ivypaw snorted.

"Moonpaw!" Shouted Greentail, the medicine cat. "I got to go back to duties." Moonpaw told her littermates as she bounded down to Greentail. You see, Chadpaw and me are going be Warriors, but Moonpaw's going be a medicine cat instead- she doesn't like fighting. I walked to my mentor, Icelash, the deputy,

"Hi! What are we going to do today?" I ask, bouncing on my toes, "Nothing much, it looks like theres a storm coming, Fireclaw and I think it's a good idea to send Thornpaw and you out to get the elder's some fresh moss before the rain comes." He replied, "Ok!" I meow.

I'm so excited to be alone -in the woods- with Thornpaw! I run in the Apprentice den and prod Thornpaw awake,

"Icelash and Fireclaw want us to get moss for the elders before the storm comes" I whisper to him, so I don't wake up the others. "I'll be out in a moment" He finished with a yawn and followed me out. We walked into the wood; I noticed the sky growing gray,

"I think we should hurry," I hear him say, "I can hear thunder, that means theres lighting." As a thunder cracked above us, we both break out to a run to the moss tree by the lake. When we get there, we catch our breaths and look at each other,

"Mouse dung! That was scary, all the prey in the forest must have jumped out there skins!" I shout as I collect some moss, Thornpaw does the same, he laughs at my remark.

We run thro the forest as it starts to drizzle, we get back to camp and install the new moss, by now, the rain is heavy, we both make a mad dash across camp to the apprentice den, we come crashing in, and I see most of the cats are asleep but Chadpaw and Sparrowpaw.

I shake some water off me and curl up in my warm nest and start grooming the water and earth from my pelt. I close my eyes and let the rain sooth me to sleep, then I feel another warm thing on my back. I open one eye and see Thornpaw lying close to me, almost touching me. He's grooming me, I turn my head and start grooming him, his eyes shoot open and he sees me, he calms down and curls closer to me, I feel safe with him next to me. I was starting to drift off, when a loud crack of thunder made me squeal in shock and yank my head up. Thornpaw started laughing and told me it was only thunder; I rest me head back on his chest and fell asleep again.
