Change

It's a natural progression from one moment to the next. That, in its simplicity, is time.

For Gwen Tennyson, however, time is a continual threat. Even though everything is well she still worries. She isn't like others her age. She doesn't have the luxury of relaxation. There are threats everywhere. Her life will never be normal.

Time is a natural progression. Her progression is different from most others. She progresses from one enemy to another. Each new enemy brings a new threat to her life and to those she loves. The people that she cherishes most stand by her side. Their ability to fight both worries and relieves her. Those that she cherishes most are the ones who risk their lives and are the ones at the greatest risk of dying.

Time is a double-edged dagger, a two sided sword. She doesn't know who her next enemy will be. She doesn't know how the enemy will threaten to tear all that she holds dear apart. She only knows that she must be prepared. What exactly she has to be prepared for, however, is still unknown. She dreams in shades of shadows and blood; losing the ones she loves.

Time is a wedge. She has her beloved. He has her. They love one another very much. She wants to believe that nothing will separate them. That isn't true. Her wishes and desires are ignored. She has lost her will and so has he. They've been enemies and allies in equal measure.

One day, she hopes, they will overcome all threats to their alliance.

Only time will tell.

Author's Note: Short and sweet. Ooh, this is such a rarity for me! I'm so pleased that I've finally written something for these two! They are so sweet. Oh, such a shame that I have no time for idle television watching. I do hope that you've enjoyed my work. Thank you so very, very much for sparing some of your time; I appreciate this far more than you realise! I offer my most sincere of apologies to all those who were not satisfied with my work. I vow to improve always.
