Lin loved how Bumi could make her feel so young, so exhilarated when he was around her. His laugh was contagious, his smile was heart warming and most of all his love was always welcoming. Whenever Lin needed a shoulder to cry on, Bumi was always there. Sometimes after a hard day at work, she would find Bumi waiting for her on her doorstep, ready to take her out. Bumi was always cracking up jokes and lifting up moods whenever he was around people.
On some days when she felt rather adventurous, she and Bumi would go on a pranking spree. They would prank everybody from Korra all the way to Asami. After having their fun, they would head to their nearest bar and try to down as much firewhiskey as they possibly could before stumbling all over the place.
Doing all of this with Bumi, made Lin feel like a teenager instead of a grown woman. Come to think of it, Lin happened to always act like a lovesick teenager when she was around Bumi and Bumi only. Her knees would get all wobbly when Bumi smiled, her heart rate would race when Bumi hugged her and not forgetting how electricity flows through her body everytime his hands held hers. These all seemed as though Lin had a massive crush on Bumi. But that's not possible, Bumi is her best friend and nothing more. Lin's mind was still trying to figure out the whole love thing going on.
But who else to appear than The Commander himself. His eyes were hopeful, sparks of excitement could be seen in them. He looked as excited as a child on the morning of the New Lunar Year. He decided to welcome himself in and took a seat next to Lin.
He slipped his arm around Lin's shoulder cautiously. As he did so, his mind was racing with a million thoughts. Would Lin accept his love? Or would Lin reject him?He breathed in and out, and prepared for the worst. In a matter of minutes, Lin's face went from calm to extremely puzzled. He backed away a bit to allow Lin to decide for herself. Before he knew it, Lin had crashed her lips into his.
''Woah, Linny where did that come from?''
''If you can date different girls, then why can't I kiss you?''
Bumi smirked and pulled Lin into a bear hug, kissing her soft,pink lips.
