Disclaimer; I own nothing!
It has been twenty-one years after the final battle at Hogwarts. Harry, Hermione, and Ron were grown and married now. They also had children but there was something wrong with these children; they were disrespectful. James, Lily, Rose, and Hugo didn't really seem to appreciate the life they have. They heard they story about how their parents fought against Lord Voldemort at least a hundred times, but they thought nothing of it. All of them didn't listen to their parents, talked back, and were never satisfied with what they had. Only Albus, Harry and Ginny's second son, appreciated the life he has.
Albus, who looked exactly like his father, always told his two siblings and his cousins that things would be a lot different if their parents hadn't made it through everything that happened to them while they were in school. Since none of them ever listened to him, he eventually gave up on them. But one day, when they were home for the winter holidays, seven books were lying on the coffee table in the living room with note attached to the top book. Albus pick it up and read it out loud.
"'Since only one of you appreciate the life you have,'" he read, raising an eyebrow, "'and what it took to make it a reality, you need to read these books one at a time. Then, maybe you'll realize what it might be like now if none of these events had happened.'"
"Why do we have to read anything?" Fourth year, James complained, his brown eyes shining brightly. "I have enough with doing that at school!"
"James Sirius Potter, you hardly do anything at school!" said third year, Rose, crossing her arms and looking sternly at her older cousin.
"Oh, shut up brainiac!" James shouted at her. "Last time I checked you were in my house, not the other way around!"
"James quit shouting!" First year, Lily whispered urgently. "Our parents might hear you!"
"Oh, blah blah blah!" James said, throwing up his arms and not bothering to keep his voice down. "They're not going to do anything!"
"Could we please just focus what going on here?" said Albus, gesturing to the books on the table.
"Why should we, Al?" First year Hugo said, plopping down on the couch and putting his feet up on the coffee table. "'Cause the note said so?"
"No," Albus said, with a sly look in his bright green eyes, "because none of us have anything better to do during the winter holidays."
The others thought about this statement for a moment and finally Rose said, "Oh alright. We'll humor you, Albus."
"What does the top book say anyway Al?" Hugo asked, putting his feet down and leaning forward, his blue eyes shining with interest.
Albus picked up the first book and read the title, "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone."
