Disclaimer: I don't own the following superstars or the origin of the story. I simply did a couple of things differently.
Warnings: None at all.

Two young men were on a trip to go to a town known to be 'non-existent' to some, to be in attendance at a wrestling event. Usually they arrived just in time to have a break and relax awhile before going to wrestle. But they had gotten a late start and they were traveling in the dark in one of the man's cars. So they decided to look for a place to stay overnight and then get back on the road in the morning.

Just off the road, they saw a house, a small house in the woods. It was the only hint of civilization, since surrounding them was only a lone road and grass. "Maybe they rent rooms," the young man named Cody Rhodes said. So they stopped to ask.

An elderly man and woman came to the door. A simple couple, nothing out of the ordinary here, just like them old couples you see on television. They didn't rent rooms, the woman said. But they didn't mind and they were glad to have them overnight as their guests. The couple had plenty of room, and they would enjoy some company.

The old woman made coffee for all and they talked for a while. Then Cody and the other young man were led to their rooms.

"Please, I'd like to pay for all this. It's real nice of you two to actually let us stay here." Ted Dibiase, the other man, was trying to explain that he should pay for their hospitality. But the old man said he could not accept any money.

Cody and Ted woke up early the next morning before the old couple had awakened. On the coffee table in the living room, Ted left some money to show his thanks. The two young men got in the car and went off to the next town.

They stopped at a local restaurant and got breakfast. Cody told the owner where they stayed for the night, and the owner was in utter disbelief.

"Why, that can't be," he said. "That house burnt down just two weeks ago, the man and the woman who lived there died in the fire."

The two young men sat in shock.

"Let's go back to the house then." Cody insisted.

"That's crazy, the guy can be telling a lie." Ted said.

Cody got up from his chair and so did Ted, they then both went to the car and headed straight back to the house they had stayed in. To their amazement, there was no house. All they saw was burnt down walls and furniture.

They stood staring back at the corpse of the now-dead house trying to understand what had happened. Then Cody yelled out an obscene word. In the ruins of the home was a badly burned coffee table, like the one Ted had seen previously. On the table was the money he had left that very morning.

Author's Notes: I really liked this one for some reason. Hopefully I'll catch up on my horror history and write more remakes including the WWE superstars and divas. Keep on reading and enjoying.
