Author's note: Hey so not long ago I remember I had this fanfiction account, and even more so I remembered the first story I had ever written was on it (Which was left unfinished). Since it's been years, I've decided to rewrite the it for fun.
Since this is currently in progress, I have the tendency to edit the newest chapter(s) after I've posted them if I'm not satisfied with the wording, but I won't ever change anything in the plot, so there's absolutely no need to go back and reread something if you don't want to.
Anyways, onto the story.
PREFACE
Winds of the night raged, blowing snow and ice in every direction. Laying there, clothing drenched, back to the ground; snow gently melting underneath. Everything around me was cold. Yet above all this, I only felt warmth. I glanced up at the artificial night sky; how real it looked, how beautiful.
The cathedral offered minor shelter from the soothing storm, for where I lay the stone roof had collapsed, but walls remained intact.
My eyes gazed down to my abdomen. The machete had cut straight through my side. Blood pumped rapidly through the cut shirt, pooling into the jacket underneath.
The hunter was nowhere in sight, but I paid no attention, for soon I would be away from him, and away from this war zone.
Dying was peaceful. Easy.
I heard the snow crunching as footsteps approached. My iced-over eyes slowly started to close. Embracing the feeling of the darkness encircling me, I was whisked away from the cold winter.
