Booth,

If you are reading this, it means that either our air has run out, or that the explosion from the air bags did more damage than I had hoped. Either way, I want you to know that it isn't your fault. I know you Booth, I know that you will be the one who reads this because you won't give up until you find me. It comforts me to know that you will be able to give Russ the gift of knowing what happened to me. He has been through so much, he deserves to know – and not be left with more questions about his sister too. Please be there for him and don't let him blame himself. There is nothing that he could have done to prevent this. Tell him that I am sorry that we didn't have more time to reconnect with one another. It is one of the few regrets that I have in life.

Tell Angela that I love her. She is the closest thing to a sister I have ever had. Don't let this sour her on love. She is going to regret turning Hodgins down. There is no way to stop that. But don't let her dwell on it either. Make her see that life gives us all many chances. It is up to her to seize them. You are good with people Booth, you are good with my people. It took your comment to me in Wong Foos for me to realize that I even had people. So now I am counting on you to take care of them.

Tell Zach that the Jeffersonian is depending on him now. He needs to finish his doctorates up and take over for me. I am counting on him to do what needs to be done to put this Gravedigger away once and for all. In the pages of my book you will find part of a parking sticker that came out of Hodgins' leg. Use it to bury this sociopath. I can die in peace because I know that taking us will turn out to be the biggest mistake the Gravedigger ever makes. You, Angela, and Zach will hunt him down and make him pay for all of the pain and suffering he has caused. I know you will do it because I believe in you, Booth.

Hodgins says I have faith in you, but it is more than that. You have always been there for me, and I know that you always will. To me, faith has always seemed to be something that isn't based in fact—what I feel when I think about you searching for us is based on fact, I know it probably sounds strange but to me what I really believe is that you are like a law of nature. Booth's Law--- Booth will come, and he will find me. It isn't faith, it is an empirical reality that has stood the test of time.

Most importantly, don't let the fact that you didn't make it in time damage you either. I know that I don't believe in your God, but I know that you do. In these situations people of faith either turn more towards their God or draw away from it. Don't let this draw you away. Part of what makes you so special is your faith. It makes you stronger, Booth. I admire that about you.

It has been more than a privilege to work with you. You are my partner, my friend, my confidante, and my anchor. I care about you more than I ever thought possible.

Love,

Bones
