She had the same reoccuring dream every night. In her dream she'd roam an unfamiliar city abandoned by everyone. She continously searched for signs of life, but never found any. Just as she thought all hope was lost, a black and orange blur rushed through her. The sudden sound of metal clashing against metal brought her to the darkening sky. There she saw a bright oranged haired man locked in battle with another man with slicked backed brow hair. The sky was overrun with demon like creatures that let our a horrifying screech.
The brown haired man plunged his hand through the boy's chest and he'd fall from the sky. Her legs would mover on their own as she raced towards him. A pool of blood qickly forming beneath him. She looked up at the man floating in mid-air, his gaze piercing into her.
He held out his hand. "Give it to me." he'd say to her.
Her handinstinctively went to the jewel hanging around her neck. She closed her eyes as a powerful energy began forming at the tip of his finger and it shot at her like beam. She held the orange haired boy close to her and waited for the impact only to wake up in a cold sweat.
"That dream again." she laid back into the comforts of her bed and let out a sigh. She had come home for a few weeks to study for her final exams, when the dreams began. With a heavy sigh, Kagome pulled her covers off and decided to take a cold shower, hoping to calm her racing heart and get her mind off of the strange dream. Today was the day of the final exam after all.

She felt like a zombie, completely drained of ay energy she once had. Not only had she barely managed to get a passing score on all of her exams, she was also informed that the high school she wanted to attend would not accept her due to her strange illnesses and lack of attendence. There had only been one school that would be willing to accept her and that was in a small town called Karakura.
"Sorry that you didn't get accepted into any of the schools you wanted to attend." Her friends did the best they could to comfort the priestess, but to no avail. Her shoulders slumped as she stared at the recommendation paper. SHe had half a mind to rip it to shreds, but decided against it. As she made her way home, she was greeted with a familiar silver haired, golden eyed inu.
"Inuyasha...?" she stared at him in question.
"Kagome, we need to talk." He took her by the hand and dragged her across the shrine to stand beneath the Goshinboku.
"What's up?" she peered into his face, waiting for him to say something.
"I... I think it's best that you stay here. In your time." he whispered, his hand gripping hers tightly.
"W-what do you mean stay here?" she could hardly believe what she was hearing.
"I was thinking it over," he let out a sigh, "and thought it'd be best for you to stay here. After all, the jewel will be safest here and you have that school of yours."
"Inuyasha... I can't just leave you guys!" she began to protest, tears forming in her eyes.
He smiled softly at her. "I know, but there's nothing for you in the past. Your life is here with your mom, grandpa, and brother. Naraku is gone Kagome. Of course everyone is going to miss you." he pulled her into a hug.
And she cried for what seemed like forever before she pulled away. She knew he was right, that's why it hurt so much. She loved each and everyone one of them dearly. They talked for a little while longer before Inuyasha said his final goodbyes. Softly, he kissed her foreheard before leaving her there.
"Goodbye, Kagome."
