Here it is, and this is probably the quickest I've ever updated anything. A sequel to my oneshot, The Lady Of The Lake. I've had a request to do a multi-chaptered story based on it, but I have so many multi-chapters going on at the moment, as well as schoolwork that I don't really have time. But if any of you out there want to write something based on it, go ahead! Just let me know, and mention me somewhere, please. And don't forget to review! Thank you!

Disclaimer: Forgot to do this last time (oops!) Wasn't mine then, isn't mine now.

When Arthur died, Merlin knew the pain of an ended destiny. Cradling a dying Arthur in his arms, Merlin wept, knowing he could not heal Arthur; it was his fate to die this day, and one day be born again.

In accordance with Arthur's last wish, Merlin hurled Excalibur into the lake, where Freya caught it.

Merlin bound his soul to the lake as tightly as he had bound Freya's, and as Arthur died, Merlin walked into the waiting arms of his love and their water.

There he would remain until the once and future King could rise once again.
