Cheering Charm
"George?" Ginny asked, floating into the room. George looked up and frowned deeper. Why on earth was his sister floating?
Before he voiced the question, Ginny answered it rather vaguely, smiling, "Ron has these sweets that make you float. Want to try one?"
"No, Ginny, go away," He paused for a second, remembering that she'd ask for the magic word. Of course, it was only 'please', but you still had to say it to Ginny.
"What's the magic word?" She said, smiling wider.
"Please." George said, laying back on his bed, staring at the ceiling.
"That's not the magic word!" Ginny cried, sounding shocked. George turned his head to look at her, and he fought the smile, her stern expression similar to his mother's when she got frustrated with Fred and himself.
"Then what is it?" George asked, keeping his voice level. He was either going to laugh or cry, and he didn't want to do either.
"Wingardium Leviosa!" She chanted, and George felt his body being lifted up and floated off the bed.
George swore loudly, and realised his wand was on his desk, and he was being taken away from that area.
Ginny floated George down the stairs before following him, and taking him into the garden. He managed to look behind and she smirked at him in a way he didn't like.
He looked around, and realised he was being floated towards the pool that had been brought by Harry to help them all cool off with the summer heat.
It was then he stopped panicking and allowed a small smile to grow. Ginny was very close, in arms reach. He felt the spell vanish from his body, and he quickly grabbed Ginny's dress to pull her in, too.
As he hit the water, he held his breath and squeezed his eyes shut, allowing himself to go under, before rising for air.
"I thought I said do not throw people in the pool, Ginny!" He heard his mother scold, and it was then he did something he hadn't done in many months. He laughed at the whole situation, and he felt lighter than ever.
Molly looked at him, and back to Ginny, before bursting into tears. George sighed, and grabbed his sister, smiling at her.
"Who gave you that idea?" He asked Ginny, and she smiled.
"You did. When I was little and I ever got upset, you always made me smile again. You and Fred taught me that sometimes all you need is a good laugh."
