Vala Mal Doran looked up as Samantha Carter came into the room and sat across the table from her. It had been two days since they'd returned from PX4-2T6 and she knew whatever Carter had to say was not going to be good news. There were several leads that came in to the SGC, but so far they'd been unfounded.

"I'm sorry, Vala, but he wasn't there," Carter told her.

"Someone took him, Sam," Vala said tiredly.

"I know, Vala," Carter said and wished there was some way she could reassure the other woman. The trip to PX4-2T6 had been scheduled for several weeks and would mark their third trip to the planet that was abundant and flourishing with life. They'd spent two days there, relaxing with the indigenous people who embraced them with open arms. They'd toured through vineyards, and fields ripe with crops that were similar to corn and pea crops on earth.

"We should go back and speak to Mar'tof," Vala said of the elderly man who was the leader of the people living in the huts closest to the gate.

"Mar'tof has his people checking with the tribes in the mountains, but so far none of them have seen him. We are going to take a team and search through the caves, but Mar'tof said there are many and some are too small for any, but a child to fit through. We will find him, Vala."

"Will we," Vala whispered. It felt worse than being apart from Daniel when they had been joined by the Kor mak bracelets. They'd nearly died, but thanks to the help of the team they'd been returned to SG1 and worked together to visit more planets and defeat the Ori. Since then they'd made other enemies, but they'd also made many friends and he'd been so good at showing the people of those new worlds they had nothing to fear from their visitors from Earth.

"Vala, none of this is your fault," Sam told her.

"Isn't it? I'm the one who told him about the planet and helped him convince General Landry that they would make good allies…"

"And you were right, Vala…they are good allies. I don't believe they had anything to do with his disappearance," Carter said.

"Then who took him? How could he have just disappeared? We were sharing the same room…the same bed, but I never felt him move, Sam. I never even woke up when he left our bed!"

"You could have been drugged."

"If I was it had to be by one of Mar'tof's people."

"Then he'll find out if it happened and who did it. Don't give up, Vala."

"I won't…when are we leaving?"

"Vala, you should…"

"I'm going, Sam, I'm tired of waiting around here," Vala said and touched her hand against her still flat stomach. Other than Carter only one other person knew of her condition, and he was missing.

"We leave first thing in the morning," Carter said when she realized there was no way she could convince Vala to stay behind.

"I'll be ready," Vala vowed and stood up to leave. She turned to look at the two men standing in the doorway and knew they would do anything to find their missing team mate. She walked toward them and felt Daniel wrap her in his strong arms.

"Vala, are you sure you want to do this?" Carter asked as the woman took a deep breath.

"I'll be fine, Sam," Vala said.

"If you're going then Daniel and Teal'c should know about…"

"I'm pregnant," Vala told them and sobbed as the team gathered around her.

"Does he know?" Jackson asked when she'd regained control of her emotions.

"I told him the night he disappeared," Vala answered.

"Then we need to bring Colonel Mitchell home to you and your child," Teal'c told her.

"Get some sleep, Vala, we won't leave without you," Carter vowed and silently prayed they could make good on that promise.

The irritating whir continued to annoy him until he was forced to open his eyes. His first thoughts were of Valla and he turned to find her, but she wasn't there and he sat up, crying out when his movement was stopped and his air cut off. He heard laughter from somewhere, but he was alone in the room.

Mitchell had no idea where he was, but he knew he wasn't on PX4-2T6 anymore. The whirring sound was louder now and he figured he was on some kind of ship. His hand went to his throat and he cursed when he felt the collar encircling his neck. He moved slowly this time, managed to sit up and slide his legs over the edge of the bed.

"What the hell!" he snapped when he realized he was totally naked. He grabbed the thin blanket and wrapped it around his body as the sound of laughter was repeated just before the door opened. His heart skipped a beat when he recognized the tall woman with golden tresses and eyes that shone with a luminescence of their own.

"Hello, Mitchell, or perhaps I shall call you Little One as Nadeena did. It certainly fits you, and since you now wear my collar I shall call you anything I choose."

"Rianna," Mitchell whispered.

"I am so pleased that you remember me, Little One…"

"Hard to forget a bitch in heels…" Cam cried out as the collar around his throat tightened and cut off his air. It last for ten seconds before she released him and allowed him to catch his breath.

"Mitchell, you will learn to bow your stiff neck and…you had it removed."

"Had what removed?" Mitchell managed and flinched away when her fingers touched the small scar.

"My mark, but do not fear…it is easy to place it on your body again. I have missed you and Teal'c and would have taken him as well, but there was no time. You do realize you will be punished for sleeping with that woman…"

"Where is she? You didn't hurt her! I'll kill you if you did!"

"I have not touched her yet, but if you do anything to antagonize me I will have her beaten or sell her to the slavers of Turelek," Rianna vowed.

"Don't!"

"Her fate depends on how well you please me. If you behave I will leave her untouched, but if you do anything...or try to escape then I promise you she will suffer."

"Don't touch her."

"As I said it all depends on how well you please me. We have a long way to go so you might as well relax and sleep."

"Let me see her."

"I'm afraid that will not happen. I know you have been spending a lot of time with Vala Mal Doran and I will not allow that anymore."

"Then let her go…I'll stay."

"I do not believe you, Mitchell, but perhaps in a few months you will have accepted your new role and I will allow her to go free."

"Please, just don't hurt her."

"Lie back and sleep, Mitchell. I will speak with Dr. Li about marking you again and I will also have that tracking device put back where it belongs," Rianna said and smiled as she walked to the door. "Sleep, Mitchell, or I will have her give you something to make you."

Cam knew there was nothing more he could do and lay back on the bed as the door slid shut. His thoughts were of Vala and of the ring nestled in the corner of his desk. He'd planned to ask her to marry him on the anniversary of their first real date, but now it looked like he was too late. God, help him, but he couldn't let anything happen to her or their unborn baby. No matter what it cost him, he would make damn sure Rianna released her.

"Close your eyes, Mitchell." Rianna smiled as she looked through the window and studied the now sleeping form. She had pressed the button releasing the drugged mist into the room. He would sleep for several hours, but when he woke again she would make sure he understood how angry his escape made her. For now Tyril would have to do, and she smiled at the thought of having both men in her bed.
