This is my first writing, so feel free to give CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. Also, I don't know how often I'll be able to write, so the entries (is that the official term?) will be scattered at best. I'll do my best to pull up an estimate based on the community's response and the average time it takes me as soon as possible. Thanks for reading, and enjoy The Drowned Planet.
Note: This is set before "Asylum of the Daleks" , but after the events of "The Wedding of River Song". Amy and Rory are travelling with Eleven at this point in the wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey stuff.
"So!" the Doctor exclaimed with a clap, "Amy? Rory? Any place you'd like to see? Boreas Minor is very nice, quite cold but their sunrises are absolutely dazzling, or-Ooh! Sasola, home to the best fruit this half of the universe in their jungles, or at least that's what the critics say, I myself prefer a good watermelon-"
"Doctor!" Amy cut in, knowing these ramblings could go on for hours. "Those suggestions sound great, but Rory and I need to tell you-" She was interrupted by a loud screeching of the TARDIS speakers. A grainy picture came up on the control panel's monitor of a vaguely humanoid being staring straight at the camera.
"Were you expecting any calls, Doctor?" Rory said worriedly. The Doctor opened his mouth to answer, but he stopped as the figure on the screen began to speak. In a creaky voice that seemed to have extreme difficulty speaking English, it said:
"Go..." There was a long pause. "Zelohild..."
"Who is this circus sideshow freak, and why is he on our monitors?" Amy asked.
"From the name of the planet, and his-or her-general appearance seems to indicate that it's a Vel'takz. Unfortunately, Zelohild, the Vel'tak home planet, is somewhat similar to the fifth circle of Dante's Inferno, except with a bit more anarchy and bio-weapons, and THERE IS NO WAY WE'RE GOING THERE!" He raised his voice so the figure could hear him through the TARDIS microphone. (Sorry, but the TARDIS control panel has too many levers and buttons to not be used as a convenient plot device for all the gadgets the story needs. I'll try to cut down on it from here on out.)
In a voice so loud and disturbing that even the Doctor was almost deafened, the Vel'takz screamed,"THEN...DIE!" The TARDIS rocked as an explosion rang out from outside, and it started spiraling out of control. The trio screamed as they were flung back and forth for minutes that seemed like eternities, then with a loud crash, everything faded to black...
Yay, cliffhanger! Leave reviews with tips or suggestions if you'd like me to continue this fic!
butter_samurai, OUT!
Edit: Also, sorry it's so short, this is more of a introduction to the story than anything else
