Armageddon's Children
Long before the Great Wars,
Humanity reached high.
Aircraft in the stratosphere,
Space needles broke through sky.
…
But then there came the cataclysm,
As other things soared higher.
Engines of mankind's destruction,
Upon the earth rained fire.
…
Thus the human race was ended,
Bodies fell to ground.
In world of dust and fire, blood,
Rang Armageddon's sound.
…
And from humanity's own blood,
Arose the race of Men.
More creatures, like the gnomes and dwarves,
Trolls also followed them.
…
Elves too returned to this new world,
Lost people of the fae.
Looking out upon the world,
Hoping for better days.
…
So the Great Wars, they had ended,
Yet more strife was to come.
Wars of races, three in all,
More blood through world would run.
…
Always, this world knows touch of war,
Through passing of the age.
Such is the fate of the Four Lands,
As Armageddon's children rage.
