Kairi stretched out on the hot, wax floor beneath her; she was currently cleaning the linoleum to placate a certain, fussy person that would be coming over to the mayor's place to see her later...

And though it was certainly tiring work, she was enjoying it all the same, since Sora was there with her. Kairi wished that Riku could have made it, too, but his parents had been a little... reluctant to let him go after his coming back to the Islands: the redhead smiled at the thought.

She'd missed Sora and Riku so much... and though she couldn't hug and hold onto them forever like she so wanted to-lest she make it weird for them or show how hurt she really was-at least someone could make their love for the boys known, she thought.

"Y'know..." Sora muttered, as he looked down at where Kairi worked beneath him-taking a swig of his soda while he regarded her. "We could just use magic to clean the floors here... If you trust me with a spell I didn't master, I mean, but somehow... I get the feeling that you want to do this the old fashioned way, huh?"

At that, Kairi looked up towards Sora with a smile on her face and nodded: She'd had a little too much of magic in her life lately-with creepy people making it so she couldn't fight them off when they nabbed her, or even wiggle through bars-so she'd take the simple approach for as long as she could...

Even if the smell of cleaner was starting to make her feel a bit ill, and Sora seemed rather bored.

Getting up from the seat he'd been sitting in before-and making the recliner disappear with some magic, as if he were now ashamed for having been relaxing while Kairi worked so thoroughly-Sora quickly took the rag away from his best friend, and began cleaning exactly where she had left off.

Looking at her with a shy smirk on his face now, the boy said with the slightest blush, "Honestly, I've missed some of life's slower pace myself... And most of that time I enjoyed like that was spent with you."

And to that, Kairi could only put a reassuring hand on her crush's own, when flushing, before she quickly pulled away-slapping Sora on the back of the head with a laugh, and lecturing him for maker her the lazy bum now.

And as Kairi laughed, Sora did, too. And so the two of them enjoyed the rest of their afternoon together.
