I'm baaaack. Did you miss me? It's been a long hiatus for me, and it feels so good to be writing and publishing again. Let me know what you think of this, and before you say anything, there will more than likely be quite a bit of OOC-ness in the chapters to come.

I'd like to thank LiveInLoveAndLaughter for all of her support on this and quite a few of my other stories. You're amazing, and it's been a thrill working with you on your stories!

"Turn," the woman said before the temporary blindness from the camera flash could even leave Emma's eyes. She huffed, thinking about going off on the lady cop playing photographer, but decided against it. After all, she had bigger problems to worry about.

As she turned to her left, she got a glimpse of her friend Mary Margaret, dressed in a matching green silk and chiffon monstrosity of a dress. Both girls were covered in dirt, Emma's blond updo in complete disarray, while Mary Margaret's black pixie cut was sticking up at odd ends.

Next to the young woman stood a tall, dark haired cop, whose face was graced with just the perfect amount of stubble, that had just enough red in it to betray his Irish heritage when coupled with his accent. Emma sighed internally, silently mourning the loss of whatever relationship the two had been working towards this last week.

As she turned again so the photo cop could take a picture of her right side, she found her other best friend, Regina, leaning against the wall. She too was sporting a matching green dress that was clearly made to make the wearer look less attractive than she really was.

As Regina stared off into space, almost forlornly, Emma felt a brief pang of guilt. If it hadn't been for her, they never would have been in this mess. The guilt was quickly replaced with anger, though. Correction, she thought. If it wasn't for Zelena they wouldn't be in this mess.

As Emma was led off to an interrogation room, she thought over her decisions from the past week that led her to this point in her life. Just over a week ago, she and Mary Margaret were trying to get their lives to a place where they wouldn't have to lie to the people in their small town to avoid judgement.

Who would have thought that the struggling writer/bail bonds woman and school teacher would have been ruthless, vengeful bridesmaids to Storybrooke's queen bee?
