Twelve years ago, a nine tailed fox and a second state hawk appeared! One swing of the Kurama's mighty tails could crumble mountains or cause tsunamis. The Taka's original idea was to help kill the nine-tails, but his actions where sought out to be an action of destruction. To fight these demons, people assembled the shinobi.
Of course, the clans of this certain village called Konohagakure -really known as the village hidden in the leaves- were able to hold off the beasts until the leader of the shinobi arrived in battle. The Hyuuga clan with power over the Byakugan and the eight trigrams techniques. The Uchiha clan with power over the Sharingan and fire ball techniques. Other, smaller and less powerful clans like the Akimichi clan had the power of multi-sizing, the Nara clan who had the power of brains and shadow clones, the Inuzuka clan who had the power of morphing into a two headed wolf, the Aburame clan who had the power to deprive enemies of their Chakra with a bug cage and the Yamanaka clan who had the power of using the mind transferring technique also helped in saving their village.
One by one, the ninja had fell. Kunoichi had been crushed, shinobi had been torn limb by limb, and ninja no older than three left without mothers and fathers. Truly a tragic time for everyone.
A single brave Shinobi was able to lock the monsters up, but in doing so he lost his life. That Shinobi was called the fourth Hokage of Konohagakure, the village hidden in the leaves. Minato Namikaze.
However, the seal of the nine tailed fox and the Second state hawk needed to be trapped inside two new borns. The Yondaime Hokage sacrificed his own, soon to be orphaned son named Uzumaki Naruto and his wife's best friend's son named Uchiha Sasuke. All he had hoped for was that his son and Mikoto's son would grow up to be heroes for being sacrificed at a young age.
Death took over the Hokage, but his wish was never granted. The village grew to hate Naruto and Sasuke for the beast inside of them, which they knew absolutely nothing about. As grownups and elders hated them, their children didn't know of what had happened because their parents never told them. A couple of people started to take pity on the both of them and befriended them. No one exactly knew of the incident, they had grown up to have the same hatred towards the two as their parents had.
Thus, Naruto became distant and resented how Sasuke managed to get all the teenage girls to like him. The Uchiha also took interest in a pink haired girl he had saved from the many people who bullied –envied- her. Naruto didn't like this.
Sasuke and Naruto became rivals...for love.
