"Are you sure you're ready for this?" Bakura asked, drumming his fingers on the steering wheel. "You might never see them again."

My dearest brother and sister.

"I know," Marik said softly. He hesitated, staring back at the small, still house.

You have always worked for my happiness, even growing up as we did. I could not be more grateful for what you've done for me.

Bakura idly followed his gaze. "They'll miss you."

But so much has happened since then, even since Battle City…and I've come to realize that I cannot stay here, living this life for the rest of my days. I've tasted the outside world, and that's something I don't want to let slip away from me again.

"They'll live." Marik threw his bag into the back before ducking into the passenger's seat. "It'll be better this way."

I wish you every happiness, and hope to see you again someday. Your loving brother, Marik.

Bakura shrugged, revving up the ignition. "Then let's get moving."

PS: Ishizu- Your car is at the museum, safely locked. The keys will be on your desk.

Marik raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure you know how to drive this thi—!" The spirit slammed on his foot on the gas, the tires squealing as he shot out of the driveway and onto the bumpy road towards Cairo. The wind and sand whipped at their hair as Marik rolled down the windows, craning to get a better view of the quickly shrinking house.

"Forgive me," he murmured as the sands swallowed the small building, his brother and sister still sleeping soundly inside. He tried not to imagine their faces when they awoke to find him and Ishizu's car gone, along with half of the food from the pantry.

Bakura glanced over at him, laying a hand on his shoulder. "They will," he said.

Marik eyed him coolly. "Keep both hands on the wheel," he said, sitting back down and propping his feet up on the dashboard. "And wake me up when we get there."

"Oh you think so?" The car swerved as he reached for the radio, sending Marik flying against the door. "Your idea, therefore you're staying awake for it."

"Bastard," Marik swore, rubbing his shoulder. "Once we're out of this place, you're going to pay for that.

Even as his eyes still scanned the road, Bakura grinned. "I can't wait." he replied. The car shot off into the darkness, hurtling towards the first stop on their journey.
