"Daddy, from where does rainbow come?" asked 5 year old Rose to her father. Ron looked at her and said, "Well, you see Rosie…." He stammered a bit and then said, "I have no idea."

Rose looked crestfallen. Just then, Molly entered Ron's old room where he was staying. "Dinner's ready Ron. And Hugo fell asleep in Fleur's arms, so don't worry about him."

Ron nodded. He left the Tales of Beedle the Bard on his bed and taking Rose's hand, led her downstairs. At a very early age, Rose had made it very clear that she did not want to be picked up and often she was found walking on her own. At 15 months when she had started crawling and then hardly anybody had seen her on someone's lap.

As the father-daughter duo eneterd the dining hall, they were greeted by the Weasleys and the Potters. Hermione was the only one missing-she had to work late night.

As Dinner started, Rose looked around and looked at her grandfather. "Granpa, where does rainbow comes from?"

Arthur smiled and said, "You see Rosie, muggles have found that when clouds collide…"

"Oh for Merlin's sake Arthur!" Molly said, "She is five. Stop telling her muggle way of things." She turned her attention to Rose. "Rose dear, when rain stops and everything's very dull, God decides to make little children happy and sends the rainbow to cheer children up!"

"But children like rain." Argued Rose. George jumped and said, "Exactly! What grandma said was not correct. Your Uncle Fred, when gets bored, pulls a few pranks up there and that's where the rainbow comes from!"

"But Uncle Fred only went there a few years ago. What about earlier?" asked Rose, absolutely forgetting her food.

"Well, we had the marauders before that." George stated.

"Who are the marauders?"

"My grandfather, Teddy's father and dad's godfather!" exclaimed James, who was up till then not interested in the conversation.

"But what about before them?" she asked, clearly worried. James shrugged and went back to his food. Harry stepped up and said, "Well you see Rosie, there were mischief makers from forever. Peeves' brother lives up there and has been there for an eternity. So I am pretty sure it must have been him."

Rose seemed satisfied from the answer. She went back to her food. Ron took a deep breath. He turned to harry and said, "thanks mate. I have no idea where she gets her questions from!"

Harry laughed and said, "Albus is like that as well. He can ask random questions at random times. He asked me yesterday, 'Dad who is mum to you?' and I said, 'she is someone I love very much.' So he asked, 'is she your sister? Because I love Rosie and Lily very much and they are my sisters.'"

Ron and Harry burst out laughing at their children's logic. Dinner was a normal affair after that. Hermione came sometime at the end only to be hugged by her daughter and asked the same question.

"Well, I will tell you it as a bedtime story. Let me eat first, will you honey?" Rose nodded and let her have her dinner.

When Ron and Hermione climbed in their bed at the burrow, Hermione kissed Ron and said, "Rose told me a very interesting thing today."

"Yes?" asked Ron, clearly tired yet interested.

"Yeah. She said that she asked everyone what is a rainbow and that she was most happy with your answer."

Ron frowned and said, "But I said I didn't know about rainbows."

"Exactly. Our little teacher apparently is very happy that her father is an honest man. Everybody gave her various explanations, none of them were correct."

"How will she know what is correct?" asked Ron. Hermione smiled and said, "She has been reading the muggle science book I have brought."

"She's five!" exclaimed Ron. Hermione merely shrugged. As Hermione turned off the light, Ron smiled and said, "Well, at least I am not failing as a father."
