Betrayal
Now all he has known and believed has been shattered.
Now a red gleam in front of his vision.
He has been shamed
Violated
Pain and tension shown
By bitter eyes and clenched teeth.
His cold manner masks his confusion
His need to be alone for a while.
They made him into the opposite of himself
By giving him power without inhibition.
And he used it to inflict
Victim's misery was his joy.
Now his disgust fuels his anger.
But his pain causes pain for others
Who don't understand his ordeal, he thinks
And he is annoyed.
But how can they understand
What he doesn't understand himself?

Snared
That gushing sentimentality
of words
and smiles
and so on
masking restrictive bonds.
A seductive vortex –
once you're snared, good luck.
There's irony for you, by the way.
Now I'm the helpless one, the victim.
Didn't even notice
because my enemy was so gentle
not realizing himself that he was twisting and molding me.
Never figured that kindness would kill me.
Doesn't he know what he's done, how he's kidnapped me?
Siphoned away my control, my power?
My dignity will probably be next.
And he loves me.
Too bad.
Right?
Well...maybe.
