Joshua was watching Neku with a sort of bored look on his face. Neku was on the verge of falling asleep- it was late. Really late. Five in the morning late.
Joshua stared at Neku a little longer, the boy about to fall asleep on top of Joshua though he was obviously fighting it.
His eyes came to rest on Neku's headphones. Bet he'd wake right up if I took them. he thought and snagged them right off of Neku's neck in one quick, deft motion. His lover was alert immediately.
"What the hell, Josh?!" Neku tried to grab them back but missed. Neku was a mortal- he needed sleep. Joshua... hell he was the Composer. He didn't really need sleep.
"What?" Joshua 's voice had an air of innocence though his eyes said otherwise. This was fun. He wondered how long he was gonna be able to keep Neku occupied with this before he gave up and fell asleep.
Neku tried grabbing them again but flopped on Joshua's lap and missed again. He muttered 'dick' under his breath and Joshua giggled a little.
"You don't need them anymore do you~?" This was fun- a lot of fun.
"To listen to music yeah I do." Neku replied, glaring as he pushed himself up and tried grabbing them again. Joshua didn't put his guard down though and Neku missed again.
"How bad do you want them back~?" He taunted, wiggling them a little in the air and only holding them by two fingers.
"Josh-"
"Answer it Neku~" Joshua knew how long it'd taken Neku to get them- how much they meant to him besides that. He wasn't hurting Neku's headphones- just... holding them hostage. He could probably get something out of Neku right now. The question was what.
Neku stopped grabbing for them and sat beside Joshua on the couch, rubbing his head, "Dammit I'm tired." he muttered, rubbing his head.
The Composer smiled a little, "You don't want them back then?" he asked, "I never said I wouldn't give them back, did I?"
Neku stared at him, "The hell do you want?" Obviously, it didn't mean a damn thing they were still seeing each other- Neku was still stubborn.
"This." Joshua was quick- he knew how to get control of Neku too. He leaned over, kissed Neku, who instantly obliged if by nothing more than habit, and dropped the headphones in Neku's lap before finally breaking the kiss. Neku stared once he realized he'd basically gotten owned, and then grabbed his headphones, "Asshole." he glared, eyes only half open as he leaned against the back of the couch and fell asleep almost immediately. Joshua sighed, unimpressed about how long the headphones game had kept Neku awake.
Neku was cute when he was asleep though- he had to admit that.
Sitting there awhile longer, Neku moved in his sleep, falling on Joshua.
He had the vague thought that it would be funny if it were the subconcious doing that.
