I was watching the Kirby: Right Back at Ya! episode "Escar-Gone" and was inspired to write this fanfic. It has a similar premise to that episode, but it isn't a word-for-word ripoff. Anyway, without further ado, please read my fanfiction, and feel free to leave a review if you like!
Skipper took a sip from his drink and looked over Kowalski's new invention. He sighed and glanced at Kowalski. "So what does this new thing of yours do, again?" Skipper asked. Kowalski explained once more. "This device induces amnesia on whoever it is pointed at, effectively wiping away a specific memory."
"Well, what use would it be to us?" Skipper inquired.
"It would be quite useful for many things, Skipper. For example, say King Julien intruded on one of our meetings and gave away highly classified information. By using my invention on everyone he had told, they'd forget what he had said in the first place."
Skipper gave it some thought. "Now that you mention it, it could come in handy, especially with Ringtail. Why don't you test it out, Kowalski?"
Kowalski gulped. "Well, you see, this is a prototype. It is quite close to being finalized, but I still have some things to work out."
"That's why I told you to test it out, to see if it works or not."
Kowalski gave out a sigh. "If you insist. Who should we test it on?"
"Oh, pick me, Kowalski!" Private suddenly cried out.
"Are you sure you want to be the test subject, Private?" Kowalski asked. Private eagerly nodded; Kowalski found it somewhat strange that Private was so insistent on being tested. Nevertheless, Kowalski turned on his invention. As he was pointing it towards Private, he accidentally knocked over Skipper's drink, which he had set down. The drink spilled all over the prototype, and it started to spark. The invention had malfunctioned. It then broke, soon after. Kowalski gasped.
"Egads! My prototype is ruined! How could I be so foolish, knocking over liquid?!" He exclaimed. Suddenly, Private got up, looking at Kowalski with a confused expression on his face.
"Um, who are you?"
"Yeah, and what are you doing here? How did you find us?" asked Skipper, glaring at Kowalski. The prototype had affected everyone, and they completely forgot who Kowalski was...
