-1Okay, so there I was, my first day of Hogwarts, and I was alone. None of my friends would be going to Hogwarts. Which sucked big time. I mean I was kind of excited, but it was still embarrassing being by myself. So, I sat down in a compartment, alone. I left the door open though, it comforted me to hear the other kids talk and joke around.

I guess I should tell you a bit about me. My name is Lily Evans. I hate my name, its so plain, although I love Lily, the combination does nothing for me. I'm a muggle born, and the first one if my family to go to Hogwarts. I grew up thinking that nothing could get me away from my horrible sister, Petunia. We had never gotten along, she was evil, and that was the end of it.

Now, back to the train ride. Like I said, the door was open, and as I looked out, there were two girls standing, well more like leaning against the window opposite my door. One seemed to be yelling at the other for a reason I just don't know.

"Mel! I told you not to start anything!" a girl with brown curly hair down her back. I really liked her eyes, they were really dark blue, and by the looks of them, she wasn't seriously mad at the other girl, "Mel."

"Leigh! You can't tell me he doesn't deserve it!" I think I liked this girl better, she seemed very agitated that her friend wasn't on her side. She had dead straight blonde hair, how I always wished to have my hair, but oh well. And she had green eyes, like me, I wonder if she didn't like them much like me.

"Er, do you want to sit down?" I asked trying to sound polite. They seemed to think it over together for a second and then Mel answered.

"Yeah, thanks."

"I'm Melanie, but you can call me Mel, Me, or just Melanie, whatever you like!" Mel said, I think I'll call her that, Mel, or Melanie. She seemed a bit crazy, or hyper even maybe. I'm not too sure how to describe her. They both sat down across from me.

"And I'm Leigh, well Ashleigh, but call me whatever," the other girl said to me, why would I call her "whatever"? isn't that a bit weird? Oh forget it, I get it. she seemed a little more sane, down to earth. How did these two end up as friends?

"Hi, I'm Lily, please don't call me Lils, it drives me crazy," I said. I wasn't too sure what they thought of me, and I didn't really care much.

"MEL-AN-EL-ANI!" was all I heard come from the corridor, and watched as Mel rolled her green eyes.

"Told you, you shouldn't have done that!" Ashleigh said in a quiet voice, and we watched as one very annoying person walked in.

"There you are Melie-el-ie!" he said. I could tell I was either going to get along with Mel and Ashleigh, or this boy, not both. But he seemed very funny, although he did worry me a bit.

"What do you want Sirius?" Mel said looking innocent, I think she'd be a good actress, she even has the movie star look.

"What? I need a reason to come see my favorite neighbor?" the boy "Sirius" said. He sat down next to me. I scooted away from him.

"I am , thank god, not your neighbor! I do live nextdoor to James, but that's a different story," Mel rambled on. I was gonna ask who James was, but I was cut off.

"And who is this cutie-wootie?" Sirius said scooting over next to me again.

"That, is Lily. Leave her alone!" Mel said as he began poking at me like I was a doll or something. Where do these people come up with this stuff?

"Sirius, get out!"

"okay, okay, fine fine!" he said and left, finally.
