Wammy's House: An Introduction
Wammy's House-an orphanage that takes in highly intellectual children, and trains them to be the successor of L, the greatest detective the world has ever known. Among these children, there are 3 in particular, who rank at top of the special orphanage.
First, there is Near-an emotionless kid who takes no interest in the well-being of others, but is highly capable of becoming the second L.
Secondly, there is Mello-a chocolate addict who's emotions often get the better of him. He is consistently angered by being shown up by Near, and his one goal is to surpass him.
Finally, there is Matt-a hardcore gamer who doesn't give the first impression of "smart". However, he ranks third at Wammy's House.
