This story was written in thought of my loved one, we roleplay, and I loved this song. I really hope you guys enjoy this short story. It's pretty old so, no, it's not my best work. This was written off of Owl City's song Vanilla Twilight, so most of the phrases belong to the writer. If that makes sense.
Just a short, sweet story.:)
Thank you.:)

A redheaded teen lays on the grass, staring at the bright stars above, thinking. Thinking of one, Roxas.

The boy who left. He remembers how he and Roxas, laid in this exact spot. Roxas would sit up as the teen woud look up at him from the ground; loving how the stars seemed to kiss his head.

The teen douses off, thinking of everything he is missing about Roxas. His skin, touch, how his own arms around the small boy and most imoportantly, his voice.

"No one would miss me."

The last thing Roxas said to this teen.

The pyromaniac boy stands up, walks inside the castle, and grabs a post card. Back out he strides, then sits on the steps of the front porch.

'Roxas'

He writes, then sets it down beside him, not able to think by the sadness rushing through him as he looks at his hands. He remembers how he and Roxas's hands, fit so perfectly; how the spaces between his fingers, fit so beautifully. The silent air around him makes each tear seem like crashing waves.

The dark bluw sky starts to lighten into a light blue, but he knows it's not the same.

'I promise I won't forget you.'

He adds to the letter.

The teen watches the sky again

"But it takes two to whisper quietly."

Speaking in a meak voice, he remembers the times he and Roxas whispered and laughed;
about nothing.

"It's not the same without you."

The teens eyelids droop, for he has not slept in two days.

Two days ago is when the boy he loved left.

As the sky becomes a vanilla twilight, he is reminded about the times he and Roxas sat on the poarch all night just to be away from everyone else; just to be together.

'As many times as I blink, I'll think of you.'

He writes, then looks up at the stars scattered everywhere in the vanilla twilight sky; waist deep in thought, because when he thinks of him, he doesn't feel so alone.

'I'll think of you tonight.'

He writes down, what he thinks; his feelings.

As his green eyes got brighter, he feels lighter. As if he has wings.

He feels lifted up.

If he could only touch the sky.

He could feel alive again.

Every feeling is a lie; there is none in this place. Dreams are all the feeling they have, and that'sall it was; just a dream.

'If I could only touch the sky...'

He writes.

'I'll feel alive again.'

A tear streams down his cheek.

'I'll look at the sky when I do.'

Smiling at the beautiful sky, he continues writing,

'But I swear I wont forget you.'

He sets the post card down once more and notices he's been crying.

Wipingthe tears away, he hopes no one saw.

'If my voice could reach back into the past.'

He lets a tear fall on the paper.

'I'd whisper in your ear.'

He takes a deep breath.

"'Oh darling I wish you were here.'"

Speaking out loud as he writes.

"'I love you Roxas.'"

He writes 'To: Roxas' on the address spot.

'Love.'

Then at the bottom of the letter.

'Axel'

The teen stands up, and portals to a mail box.

Axel kisses the post card, with the picture of the 'Twilight Town Clock Tower' on it, in the mail box.

"Where ever you are, Roxas,"

He thinks out loud.

"I hope you get this in the Vanilla Twilight hour, and I hope you feel the same."

Axel portals back to the castle, and lays in his bed.

Unable to sleep.

"I swear I won't forget you."

Were his last words before he fell fast asleep.
