"You can't be serious."

"I am. I bet you haven't moved from that spot since yesterday."

"Of course I did, you were with me when we went out to eat."

"That doesn't count, it took forever for me to get you there and even then you barely ate anything. Come on, up!"

"Alright, alright. I'm going."

She pushed herself away from her desk, stretched and yawned. Her foot nudged her cat, making him hiss at her. She grinned sheepishly as she scratched her head. Her feet brushed against the various knickknacks on the floor as she made way for the door. She turned the knob. Facing her was Ino, who looked grumpy as always, and Sakura, who shrugged, looking at her with a what-could-I-do.

"Look! Your room's a mess. When has been the last time it's seen a broom? Ugh, doesn't matter. Get changed, you're coming with us to the party."

"Didn't I tell you I didn't want to go? The sexual tension that's going to be lingering in the air is sickening. And I'm not even ready. You said that the party's going to start at 8, its 7:50. You'll be late."

"No worries, I always believe in arriving anywhere fashionably late. Let's go."
