Really random idea that popped into m head when I was watching LOTR. Dont expect this to be a great story though.
Enjoy!
I was taking a walk in the woods when I saw a few midgets. They were wearing like cloaks or something, and they had pointy ears. They were all barefoot. I stopped and knelt down beside them.
"Are you guys lost?" I ask politely even though I want to laugh.
"I think so." Replies the dark haired midget. He appears to be the leader.
"Where are you guys going?" I ask curiously.
"We are going to Mordor. To Mount Doom if you want to be precise. Can you point us in the right direction?" I stare dumbfounded at the four little people.
"What's your name little person?" He looks at his friends and they nod.
"I am Frodo. This is Sam," he points to the chubby guy, "Meriadoc Brandybuck, Merry for short," he points to another one, "and this is Peregrin Took, Pippin for short." Frodo finishes pointing to a dumb looking midget.
"I'm Rosemarie Hathaway. But you can call me Rose." I said while holding out my hand to Frodo. He shakes it cautiously.
"Where are we, Rose?" He asks.
"We are in Montana. I'm sorry but you're not in, um, wherever you are from." I study him; he doesn't look like a normal midget. "I hope I don't sound rude or anything… what exactly are you?" He looks down at himself. He is about two feet tall.
"I am a Hobbit. We are from the Shire. We have to get to Mordor." A Hobbit? What is a Hobbit? I sigh and tell them to follow me. Lissa and Dimitri will know what to do about this.
When we arrive at my house Lissa comes to give me a hug. She stops when she sees the Hobbits.
"Oh. I didn't realize we had guests. Please come in." she says uncertainly. The Hobbits go into the living room and look around. Lissa pulls me into the kitchen.
"Rose! Who are these little midgets?" She whisper yells. I shrug.
"I was going for a walk in the woods and I ran into these guys. The dark haired one, his name is Frodo, says that they are Hobbits and that they need to get to Mordor." Lissa sighs and shakes her head.
"Rose! These guys are clearly high! Or drunk! Maybe they are high and drunk! You can't just take nutcases home with you!" her voice gets louder. I put a calming hand on her shoulder.
"Liss, let's figure this out before Dimitri and Christian get back. And besides, I think I believe them." Lissa looks at me as if I have lost my mind. I roll my eyes and beckon her into the living room.
Frodo, Sam, Merry and Pippin are all sitting patiently on the floor. I join them. Lissa stands uncomfortably for a few minutes before sitting on the floor as well. Frodo starts speaking.
"Clearly something is very wrong. Either me and my friends have traveled to a different time or we are dreaming."
"Mr. Frodo, a different time? That's unheard of. Even if it were true we still have to get to Mordor." Sam says.
"Frodo, I am inclined to agree with Sam. Time travel is impossible. You guys are like something from a book!" I say.
"I must agree with Rose, Frodo." Says Pippin. I can see him sneaking glances at me.
"What book would we have come from?" Asks Frodo. Lissa gets up and walks upstairs.
"So, Merry, Pippin, Frodo, Sam. Please tell me about yourselves." I say.
"Well, me and Merry are cousins. We are from The Shire, as Frodo already explained, and we are Hobbits." Explains Pippin. I nod. Lissa comes crashing down the stairs.
"I know which book they come from!" She yells while waving a paperback copy of The Fellowship of the Ring in her hand. Holy shit. She is right! The Lord of the Rings series is one of the few books I have actually spent time reading, the series is pretty good.
Right before I say something the door flies open. I look over and what I see truly frightens me.
I think this is the weirdest thing I have ever written.
I guess you should review?
