'Just perfect.' Anakin thought as he looked down at his shackled hands. 'Just perfect.' He thought again. ' Good going, Anakin. Way to be a son of a bantha, Ani. Taking Padmé with you to rescue Obi-Wan on Geonosis. Especially when Viceroy Nute Gunray has a price on her head. You're worse than bantha poo doo' He looked over at Padmé. She stood strait, her "Senator's Mask" on her face as she stared at the wall on the other side of the arena . " Don't be afraid." He said out loud to her. " I'm not afraid to die," She said. Anakin figured she'd say something like that. Sensing she wasn't finished speaking, he continued to look at her, waiting for her to continue. " I've been dying a little bit each day since you came back into my life." 'Huh?' " What are you talking about?" He asked out loud. " I love you." She replied. ' What?!?! Did she just say she just say she loved me?' "You love me?" He said. He looked down at his hands, taking in what she just said. ' Hey, wait a sec,' " I thought we decided not to fall in love."
He finished his thought aloud. " That we would be forced to live a lie. And that it would destroy our lives." He said. " I think our lives are about to be destroyed anyway." Padmé said. 'She's gotta point there' " I truly… deeply… love you." She said as she started to slowly lean in closer to him. " And before we die I want you to know." She said right before her lips connected to his. ' Her lips are so soft.' He thought. 'And she tastes so wonderful' They continued kissinguntil the cart began moving forward…
