For years I was viewed as the unbeatable one,
Possessor and wielder of Byakugan,
Child prodigy of the Hyuuga clan;
Oft'n labeled as "the strongest man".
And yet, here on the battlefield I lie,
Surrounded by death as slowly I die.
There is no fear, it's annexed by the pain
Of knowing I'll never see my friends again.
There is no regret in the life that I led,
Only in leaving my friends for the realm of the dead.
But not without purpose, the battle I fought;
My life I sold, their freedom bought.
In time, the war will come to an end,
Hearts will heal, the land will mend,
And time will continue its inexorable course,
Unfazed by the clash of human force.
Quickly I'm fading, naught can hurt me now;
Not kunai or sword, nor the mark on my brow.
At last I shall know what it is to be free,
Released from the bonds of clan slavery.
As my time on this earth finally draws to an end
My mind turns once more to thoughts of my friends.
I bestowed upon them the only gift I could give,
Gladly I die so that they may live.
Time heals all, and they shall forget their grief,
And life shall go on in the Hidden Leaf.
But as for me, I shall finally find rest
In the cold embrace of silent Death.
Three words echo as I fade from life:
Hope, and Love, and Sacrifice.
