Morgana sighed as she blinked her bleary eyes at Gwen who smiled at her.

"I was fast asleep," She moaned.

Gwen straighten up grinning as she glance at the window, "It's nearly midday,"

Morgana blinked and sat up as she realised. There had been no nightmares, "I can't remember the last time I've slept so well."

No, she didn't. All her nights were full of horrifying beasts set on killing Arthur. They plagued her everywhere, spilling into the real world so she couldn't get away, magic flashing in her very own eyes. And now the nightmares were no more.

She felt Gwen leave and she glanced back up to acknowledge her maid. That was when she heard it as she noticed something out of the corner of her eye.

Morgana

A bracelet sat at the end of her bed, not just any bracelet but the bracelet of Morgause. The other day, Morgana had visited her, congratulating her on beating Arthur. Normally she would be happy that a girl beat Arthur, this Morgause had proven that Morgana should be aloud to fight as woman can fight just as well as men can. Yet she was so tired, her congratulations were formal, perhaps a little offhand.

Morgause hadn't taken that to heart; she noticed the dark rings around Morgana's eyes and offered her the bracelet to help her nightmares. Morgana had refused, she hardly knew the women....and yet she felt a strange connection to her. It was a strong connection, Morgana knew it; she felt a bond that was stronger than almost anyone else.

Almost....except, Mordred.

Morgana

That was the voice whispering her name, the innocent boy that she was willing to give her life for. As she placed it on her wrist, she felt the safety of both herself from her nightmares and Mordred from danger.

The joyful laughter of the child rung in her ears as she traced the features, a smile on her lips. Mordred was the druid boy she rescued from execution along with the help of her friends; Gwen, Merlin and Arthur. She only met him again at the druid camp and the time was cut short by Arthur yet Morgana and his bond was strong. It was a connection she couldn't explain most of the time, a link connecting their blood.

Like a mother to its child.

That what connected the two, Morgana realise as she remembered Mordred smile. Mordred felt like her own, she loved him. This wasn't the first time she realise this. When she saw Hunith and Merlin together, how Hunith hugged her son and how Merlin wished to protect her, Morgana had felt herself comparing it with the few days with Mordred.

As Gaius came to visit her and she told him the good news that her nightmares had gone, she place a loving and protective hand over the bracelet as if holding her child close to her. It felt like she was.

She was thankful to Morgause. Morgause was the one who gave her this, let her listen to her son voice and the connection grow stronger. It was a kind gesture, not like a friend but as a kind sister.

Whatever the cause, Morgana was happy. It did more than keep the nightmare away; it let her and Mordred to unite.

A gift from a sister was something more than anything else, especially, Morgana thought, if it's from a sister called Morgause.
