Jayne had heard fairytales long ago when he was a young boy. He had actually enjoyed the daring tales of knights and dragons. As he got older, Jayne scoffed at the stories. He was a tough, hard hearted mercenary after all! He didn't go chasing unbelievable fairytales.
Reavers were like fairytale monsters but real and far more terrifying. Jayne lay there in Mr. Universe's complex, trying not to hear the reavers tear apart River. And then the doors opened. Standing tall among the corpses, covered in grime and gripping a bloody axe and sword was a fairytale goddess of war.
