So I've got a few story! Several, actually! Three tonight! I guess I can just say I took a break from writing, but I'm back! And I plan to stay back !
Charlene Turner kicked the ball as hard as she could, sending it flying into the goal, her golden blonde braids blowing in a cool breeze.
"Charlene!" a voice called from behind her. "What are you doing?"
She spun around. "Finn!" she exclaimed. "Just a second."
She kicked the last ball, but it flew sideways into the nearby duck pond, making several ducks quack loudly and fly up in the air indignantly. Charlene screamed and started to run towards the duck pond, glanced around at Finn, and froze. "I-do you think-I kind of need to-"
Finn smiled. "Go get it, Charlene. I'll wait. Don't worry."
She giggled nervously, then sprinted to the duck pond. It was rather deep, and was on the edge of the soccer field, which was rather muddy from the recent rain. Just as she was reaching for the ball, she glanced back at Finn again, slipped, and tumbled into the pond, screaming.
The next few second passed in great speed. Finn ran to the pond and pulled her out. Though she looked horrified, there was a strange look in his eyes, and after a second he started laughing.
"What's funny?" Charlene asked, slightly hurt. "I didn't mean to fall in."
"I know," Finn said, still smiling. "But you wouldn't have fallen if you hadn't kept looking at me. I said I would stay."
Charlene bit her lip. "I was just happy to see you," she said uncomfortably. Then, she smiled, too. "But I guess maybe I was silly."
Finn burst out laughing, and she joined in. "Finn," she said suddenly. "Do you want to go for a walk?"
Finn smiled. "No," he said after a minute. "Let's go to Disney World."
And, Finn's arm still around her, they left the park, the soccer ball still sitting next to the duck pond.
