Next chapter will be longer.
It's been a few months since Asuna and Kirito escaped SAO. Kirito can move on from the tramatizing incident but is Asuna strong enough too?
"Kirito.. we need to talk."
She sounded serious. She sat on the sofa and twiddled with her thumbs, not looking up at him. He sat beside her and gave her a positive smile.
"What's wrong?" He asked as he tried to hold her hand.
The last few days Asuna has been weird. She has been avioding Kaito, not replying to his texts. They no longer meet up for dinner for her tasty pot roast.
She sighed. "I can't do this anymore."
Kirito was silent.
"I can't just go on and pretend everything is okay when it's not. I can't just forget what happened in Aincrad.."
Kirito looked at her and tried to hold her hands but she pulled away.
"Asuna.. I know it was a tramatizing.. but I saved you.. I came back for you.. I know it was a nightmare but-"
She cut him off.
"I just want to forget about everything, including you.." She said trying to pull back tears.
Kirito was stunned. He couldn't believe what he was hearing right now. He shook his head and grabbed her hands, holding them tightly.
"Please don't leave.. We have been through so much together, experienced everything and I can't loose you.. I can't.." He said, with his eyes watering up.
Asuna pulled away and stood up. She never looked so angry.
"What? You think just because you saved me and we made it out of Sword Art Online means I owe my life to you?" She protested. Kirito looked at her hurt, not knowing what to say.
"I can't loose her.. what can I say? What can I do?.." Kirito thought in panic.
"But Asuna, We-"
She cut him off again.
"FORGET ABOUT US. Forget about everything that happened. I don't want to see you anymore.. I.. I.."
He looked up at her hurt.
She looked away and walked towards the door.
"I HATE YOU."
The door slammed as she left.
