This is my first Mythology story so please bare with me!
You run
You fall
You hide
And you wait.
You hear breathing behind you
You want to look but your to scared
You feel the hairs on the back of your neck rise
You shiver as the terror tremors through your body
Down to the pit of your stomache where dread lingers
You sense tension in the air as you sit there waiting...
As you sit you hear a crash to your left
Then you feel the air calming
When you hear the wretched creature runing away
Your feel blood rushing down your neck
That leaves your head cool.
Relief.
You start to move to look behind you
All you see is darkness and feel fur tickle your cheeks
You feel adrenaline and dread seeps back into your veins
'Shit, im done for'
Your about to give in until you feel something... horrible...
A presence behind you that growls with malice.
The beast infront you takes a few steps back
And leaps over your head and into the beast behind you ready to kill.
You stand there shocked and confused
but you dont care
You start running towards the safety of your village
You think about your home and your family
You imagine the feel of your bed
And the comfort it gives.
Your tired.
You try to slow down a bit but your body doesnt let you
It knows what'll happen if you do.
Blood. Blood everywhere. Limbs and organs scatter your vision
You dont want this, you dont want the beasts that chases you
To have eyes that crave for your blood,
the hunger their stomachs growls out with.
To have drool dripping out of their mouth
while they think of how sweet and savory you might taste
Your scared.
Your hear the dreaded growl behind you
Your feet feel like jello
Feel the presence getting closer
You still run
You smell the scent of death drawing near
You leap over debris hoping... just praying... that you dont fall again.
You feel disgusting as something breathes down your back
You see it.
You didnt notice the darkness that swept over as you see
The fire of the torches that hang
by the gate of Forg Village
You run
You fall
You crawl
You ...
Remember.
