hi, read this, review it please, thank you.

because drabbles are just drabbles and may or may not reflect my life

disclaimer: i don't own prince of tennis.

xXx

When she was little she dreamed of princes and fairies and held the belief that everyone got a happy ending.

When she entered elementary school she dreamed of growing up and being pretty and popular and nourished the idea that everybody could get along.

When she entered middle school, she realized that she was expected to have grown up and began putting effort into anything and everything she did.

Including, loving a boy.

x

She realizes that her chances are extremely close to zero.

She realizes that the odds of him even knowing her name were nearly nothing.

She realizes that maybe she picked someone that was out of reach.

He's everything and she is nothing and perhaps that's why she fell deeper.

x

One day, they got placed next to each other in the seating chart.

One day, she accidentally spilled water on his paper.

One day, he began to talk to her.

She wonders if maybe luck is shining down on her from somewhere

x

His tennis is beautiful to her.

His grades were to be admired.

His face was mysterious and graceful and enchanted her every time she looked upon him.

She's looked at these countless times in secret and always finds something new to love.

x

Loved, the look he got in his eye when he was satisfied with something.

Loved, the times when he looked happy.

Loved, the way he spoke, the manner in which he fixed his hair and just everything.

She wonders if it's about time to end the confusion.

x

Bravery, would be all she needed.

Bravery, would get her through this ordeal.

Bravery, would be enough.

She confesses to him, and it's something she would not likely forget.

x

They had been friends, she supposed.

They had been something that could possibly be described as close.

They had been two people that would have been expected to fall in love.

But he's just staring at her, at a loss for words, and she doesn't need to hear his rejection to have her answer.

x

Her tears don't fall until she had barricaded herself in her closet.

Her mind refuses to forget him and all the emotions she associated with him.

Her mind refuses to forget his answer.

"It's okay."

x

It was hard for her to accept that answer.

It was hard for her to decipher the meaning of that answer.

It was hard for her to consider that a rejection.

She was now holding on to false hope that should have died a long time ago.

x

Moving on, wasn't as easy as she had been told it was.

Moving on, just made her think about him more.

Moving on, made her remember the reasons she fell in love with him in the first place.

Sinking deeper and deeper into the mud is impossible to escape from now.

x

Maybe she could have forgotten about the way he told her she was okay-looking.

Maybe she could have forgotten about the time they were alone on the school trip.

Maybe she could have forgotten about him.

But now she's looking at him on her first day of high school, and knows she'll never forget.

x

Fin.
