1Yet another tear rolled down her face as she sat in the corner cradling her swollen cheek. The salty tears stung as they grazed the open cuts."this is really it" Spencer whispered to no one it particular. Oh he was long gone by now, he always was ,right after he did his business with her. She reached for her clothes lying on the floor next to her. She was on the verge of breaking, but that would only give him satisfaction. Her life hadn't always been so horrible, no one really knew what she went through. She had a reputation to keep up.

At school Spencer Carlin was the poster child of perfection. With her being cheerleading captain, an honors student and on top of that being flawlessly gorgeous plus her boyfriend being Tray Bennet. Well her life was almost perfect. The past six months she wasn't so sure about Tray. Her and Tray were supposed to be meant for each other, ever since they were practically forced together at the beginning of eighth grade. He was a little too cocky for Spencer's taste but her family liked him and he had started to grow on her, so she kept him around. Those first two years they were together couldn't have been more perfect. Spencer grew to love him actually. During the middle of this year he began to hang out with a bad crowd. He got into drugs and it seemed like he was drinking all the time. He had gotten overly possessive with her and became a person that Spencer feared the most. Of course only treated her this way when they were alone.

When she tried to end the relationship it only got worse. He threatened her and her family. His threats drove Spencer to do whatever he told her to do. Not only was she not allowed to hang out with Aiden her best friend since kindergarten but she wasn't allowed to talk to her friends who were girls either. aside from school anyways. The worst part is that it's the beginning of summer. He could do whatever he wanted to her and he would get away with it too.

She was to used to it though, having to cover the bruises with make up lying to friends and family about where she got that cut. It was a vicious cycle that was her living hell. The worst part it wouldn't stop for her. Not anytime soon at least. He would do it many more times. And all she could do is let it happen.
