Hiei slid into Kurama's bedroom window and glanced at the clock, scowling he cursed himself. It was rather late, he hadn't meant to come home so damn late.
"Stupid Mukuro ," He growled softly and padded over to the bed. His eyes widened and he couldn't help but stare at the beauty before him.
Kurama was dressed in red, silk pajamas, curled up in a ball on the bed, the moon shining in from the half parted curtains shined on him making him look celestial. He had a peaceful look on his face and a book laid beside him, still open to the last page he had been reading.
He looked like perfection.
Hiei reached down and ran his bandaged fingers through the long red hair that was splayed across the pillow. He then slid his hand up and stroked the soft, pale cheek presented to him.
Kurama's lips turned up in a smile and he purred in the back of his throat. "Mmm…Hiei," He murmured and shifted closer to the warm hand that was giving him attention.
Hiei chuckled lightly, "Stupid fox." He said a little too loudly, then berated himself when Kurama stirred and opened his green eyes slowly.
He groaned in discomfort at being woken up from his deep slumber, and Hiei could tell he was still ready to pass out. In a snap decision, Hiei slid into the bed and wrapped his arms around Kurama, raising his ki to keep him nice and warm.
"Sleep…" Kurama murmured rolling over and pressing his face in Hiei's neck, purring at the warmth provided to him.
Hiei reached up and began to pet his hair, Kurama's pretty eyes slowly drooped shut and then finally reclosed and his breathing resumed it's even rhythm. When Hiei removed his hand, Kurama whined in protest, starting to wake up once more.
Hiei's hand immediately found his hair and he said softly, "Sleep Kurama." He nuzzled his face into the long, red tresses as Kurama settled once more.
Hiei started to fall asleep, the last words that passed through his head for the night were, "Sleep my angel, sleep."
