AN: Depressing drabble. Character: J.K Rowling. Song Lyrics: Linkin Park
The wind pulled his brown hair around his face, his tattered brown coat whipping around his ankles. He stared at the house, half of the roof blown out. Half of his heart blown away.
He stood at the kissing gate, standing there in the snow, on Halloween, at midnight.
He put his hand on the gate, but dared not to go in. Seeing the bodies…the bodies would be too much. His hand fell to his side again.
He removed his wand, waving it shortly. A small brown sign appeared from nowhere. At his command, a message appeared in gold on the sign. He wove his wand once more. It vanished into the ground, the gate being the key. He wove his wand one more time. The house was hidden now.
He turned and walked off into the night, not looking back. He would fight for them until his last breath.
You were standing in the wake of devastation; you were waiting on the edge of the unknown. And with the cataclysm raining down, insides crying save me now, you were there impossibly alone.
Do you feel cold and lost in desperation, you build up hope, but failures all you've now. Remember all the sadness and frustration, and let it go, let it go.
