Will wasn't ashamed to admit that he loves his job at the flower shop. It was very peaceful, and beautiful, and wonderful. He was friends with his coworkers -Hazel, Frank, and Percy- and he loved flowers.
His love for his job had nothing to do with the cute boy who worked at the tattoo shop next door.
But that was definitely a perk.
Percy introduced them while he was visiting his girlfriend that also worked at the tattoo shop, Annabeth.
Unfortunately, he was unable to hide his crush from his friends for very long. His friends are not above teasing.
Nico was going to kill someone.
If he heard Piper tease him about will one more time, he would not be responsible for pulling the feathers out of her hair.
So what if there's a cute boy in the flower shop next door? So what if he's maybe checked him out while he walks by the door? And so what if he had the most beautiful smile Nico's ever seen, and a blinding smile that could make the straightest man melt.
What was he talking about again? Dammit, Will. Okay. So maybe he has a little bit of a crush on the guy. But, come on. The guy was pretty much the most attractive guy he's ever met.
Nico heard the door open and turned to look at whoever it was that came in.
Well, speak of the devil.
There Will was, in all his tall, tanned, blue eyed glory. Dam he was attractive.
Piper elbowed him in the side.
"Ouch! Dangit Piper! Do you put knifes in your elbows? Geez." He rubbed at his side. That girl had really hard elbows.
Will stood there with an amused expression.
"Hey Sunshine." Will greeted him. Dam that nickname. It sent skeletal butterflies flying around in his stomach.
"Flower Boy. What, you didn't bring me flowers today? I'm hurt." He said back. They had this banter thing going on that everyone else said was flirting, but it wasn't. Will came into the shop, they would talk cause you know, Nico could have friends you know, maybe they would go out to eat for lunch or dinner, but it was all completely platonic.
"Nah. Nope. No flowers today. Anyways, I may have accidentally bought two steaks and I was wondering if you wanted to come over and eat one of those did dinner tonight." Will was rubbing the back of his neck with his hand.
Nico smiled at him. "Why I'd be just honored!" He said in a bad impersonation of Will's southern accent. "You're making this sound like a date! Maybe I should be the one buying you flowers!"
Will blushed and smiled a bit more.
Realization hit Nico like a truck.
"Oh. Um. Yeah. I'd love to go." All Nico's confidence kinda just slipped away.
Will seemed to brighten up at Nico's answer.
"Okay! Um, I'll see you at seven?" Will said, smiling at Nico.
"Yeah. I'll be there."
They said their goodbyes, and when Will walked out, Nico couldn't get the smile off his face.
Piper elbowed him in the side again.
"Ouch! Piper! Stop that!" And even though his side was in pain again because of a certain Cherokee, he still couldn't get that smile off his face.
