Hey, guys. Sorry it's been so long.
This story is kind of crappy. I have it as a cross over between Treasure Island and Treasure Planet because I imagine it being Jim from Treasure Planet and the setting of Treasure Planet with some characters taken from the original book. Might be crappy but I thought maybe someone out there would like the idea.
I wrote this a really long time ago and just now decided it's something I could post. Sorry if you hate it.
THIS ONE'S FOR YOU BRI ;)
Basically what happened was . . .
"Do you see that?" Captain Smallet asked, shouting over the high winds, He pointed at a figure being sucked into the black whole's vortex.
Mr. Arrow scoffed, "Captain we don't have time to look at debris, the cannons are breaking loose!"
"That's not an asteroid, Arrow! I think that's a person!"
"What?!"
But the captain was already racing down the steps to the main deck. Arrow shouted for him following far behind. Smallet grabbed one of the solar surfer under the stairs and set it on the edge of the ship. As he climbed on top Mr. Arrow protested, "Sir, leave it be! The crew needs you!"
"They can get out on their own!"
"But Sir, you could be killed! What if we leave you behind!?"
Captain stood on the surfer, "Then leave me! I'll be as fast as I can!"
And with that he was gone racing directly into the black whole his ship was trying to get away from. His eyes remained locked on the odd shape and when he got close he could make out the image of a young boy scrambling for his life as if his frantic movements would do anything against the pull of the dark current.
He was a relatively small boy, his clothes too big for him and whipping rapidly in the wind. His eyes were closed tightly, probably out of fear. The captain stepped on a bottom on the floor of his surfer causing the small mast to retract into the side so the wind wouldn't take it.
"Kid!" He shouted over the wind as the surfer struggled to stay in the same area as the young boy. "Kid, take my hand!"
He reached for the boy with one hand keeping his balance with the other. The boy held out his hands but since his eyes were closed his hand moved around trying to find something to hold onto. Smallet reached franticly for the kid but couldn't catch his hands, "Open your eyes!"
"I can't!" The boys voice barely broke through the wind.
Captain Smallet had to back off or he too would be sucked into the black abyss and suffocate. He franticly pulled the extra rope from his belt loops, "Put your hands together and hold them out!"
The boy did so but he was quickly being taken away. Captain only had one shot. Smallet threw the rope like a whip and prayed he would catch him. The rope sailed awkwardly struggling to keep its intended path. But it whipped around the boys wrists and the kid took hold of the rope.
The cord tightened and pulled the captain with the boy. They both held on tight as Smallet whipped his solar surfer around and put it on full blast, trying to break from the black wholes suction. He pulled hard on the rope yanking the boy toward him. His small surfer slowly inched its way away from the black whole and the boy was yanked closer and closer till the captain turned and grabbed the kid's hands.
Captain pulled hard. The brunet boy's feet stumbled to land on the small flying contraception as Captain Smallet untied his hands and wrapped the rope around both their waists, securing them together. He wrapped his arms around the boy's shoulders and told him to hold on.
The kid's small hands clung tight to Smallet's blue coat as the solar surfer's mast shot up, catching just the right amount of wind to zip away from the black whole.
