Ishida Uryuu stared out at the town he lived in. Karakura Town looked so beautiful with a deep orange glow upon it as the sun slowly decided it was time to rest. The warm rays drenched the vermillion rooftops, being absorbed in the surroundings. Children slowly began making their way inside their houses, knowing the sun wasn't going to be playing out for much longer. Animals curled up on the paths, ready to nap for the night. Ishida sighed at the beauty and leaned back against a small Sakura tree, allowing the orange rays to take him to his happy place for one last time. He pressed his head back against the deep wooden bark and faced his pure snow exterior towards the light. His body remained straight, arms folded in his lap. He didn't seem uncomfortable, despite sitting so upright. His left leg remained straight, as his right bent slightly. He allowed his left hand to lay on the grass, brushing through the green mane, affectionately. He felt a breeze blow through the air, lifting his hair from his shoulders slightly. A small smile appeared on his lips as he felt the rays intense softly. That smile soon disappeared when the heat on his face disappeared. He opened one eye and stared, annoyed, at the cause of the heat loss.
"Kurosaki..." Ishida purred, opening both eyes and sitting up even more.
Ichigo didn't say a word, he just sat next to the other boy, leaning back on his palms, gazing out towards the copper burned sky. The sun was almost tucked away behind buildings, but the heat still surrounded them. Ichigo dropped his gaze to the grass and stared at the droplets of baby pink Sakura petals decorating the floor. He noticed more kept joining the ones on the floor. They slowly fluttered down, like Sakura butterflies, landing peacefully on the soft grass where they would lay for the rest of their lives.
"...I'm leaving, Kurosaki." Ishida finally muttered, glancing down at his knees as the sun left the sky.
"I know." Ichigo replied, also glancing down.
The two glanced at each other, their lone hands finding their way in to each other's, their fingers locking in a loving embrace. Their gaze held for a while, as the sky became a deep blue ocean sprinkled with dabs of light and a sharp slither of white.
The two leaned close and pressed their lips together, in one short, but needed kiss. They pulled away and stood up, not giving each other a second glance as they let their hands break apart, allowing them to linger, empty again, by their sides. They headed off in different directions, as the breeze caressed the branches of the Sakura tree, lifting petals from their homes, carrying them off in to the night sky.
I will always love you...
