Louise grabbed the handle from Feliciano's hand. Throwing it away, she exposed them both to the rain that only seemed to fall harder. The tears that have been threatening to spill, not only just tonight, over the past decade finally let themselves fall down to mix with the unforgiving, cold rainwater.

"Just stop it already Feli!" delicate fingers balled into fists at her side. Head shaking to let her short locks shake off the drops of water clinging to them in vain. The rain only brought it back.

Feliciano opened his eyes and stared in her direction. Even after all these years, he still wasn't strong enough to look directly at her. To look directly at her face meant he'd see the one person he loved so much and lost. To see those blue eyes and have to remember that he's gone. That blonde hair that he'd never be able to touch the softness of. Looking at her was like looking at him. Except it will never be him.

"Why did you cut your hair? It was always so pretty when it was longer. Not to say it's not pretty now but…" Feliciano's voice trailed off as his body slowly turned to look up into the sky that was crying so hard.

Blue eyes met black pavement, "I'm not sure why I did. I thought… I thought if I cut my hair you'd notice me more then you had." Slowly, her fists unfurled and eyes looked up. Louise always saw Feliciano happy, smiling, filled with so much joy and laughter. Now, he looked just as vulnerable and sad as she had been. Everyone always mocked him for being so much weaker than all the other boys all throughout school. Even though the bullying, he was always smiling. He always tried to find things to laugh at even if it was himself. Louise saw, now, he was slowly falling apart at his seems. She was okay with that. So long as she was the one who could put him back together again.

"Feliciano," she tried to make her voice seem strong. She needed to be strong right now. She's always needed to be the strong one, "Feliciano, the reason I called you out tonight is because I'm going into the military."

Feliciano's breathing just about stopped. He forced all of his attention on the blonde. He stayed silent as brown eyes stared sadly into blue.

"I'm going. I'm going and the only thing that is stopping me is that I've needed to tell you something for years." she slowly took a step forward, moving herself close enough to place dainty fingers onto smooth skin. "I know how you felt about him. I've know all these years but you need to know how I feel. Feliciano, I love you."

The lightening strike lit up the night enough to see Feliciano's shocked expression. He had no words left to speak. Even if he did, he didn't have a voice to speak them. Only the baffled expression was left for the German woman to see.

Louise studied his face in the moment's light. She waited for minutes that seemed like hours. Finally, she dropped her hand and stumbled backwards, "I understand. You don't feel the same. I'll never compare to Ludwig. Goodbye Feliciano. I'm glad I knew you." with that last sentence, the blue eyed woman turned on her heels and headed home to pack for her upcoming flight.

"Oh no…" Feliciano barely whispered after Louise was out of sight, "What have I done?"
