Book of Days

A year had passed since Victor Van Dort has last met Emily, also known as the Corpse Bride, and is depressed. It was because he made his promise that he'd married her, but Emily told him that he freed her and she did the same by dissolving into beautiful blue butterflies and back to the Land of the Dead and he had missed her ever since. Meanwhile, back at the Land of the Dead, we see Emily in the balcony of the city, looking from the view above, but realize that she has missed Victor since she was freed to go. We fade to a white flash where Emily remembers the time he met her in the first place and the song "Book of Days" plays on the background while the memories of her giving him a wedding present and when he opened it, it was bones at first, but they formed a dog named Scraps.

One day, one night, one moment,
my dreams could be, tomorrow.
One step, one fall, one falter,
east or west, over earth or by ocean.
One way to be my journey,
this way could be my Book of Days.

Ó lá go lá, mo thuras,
an bealach fada romham.
Ó oíche go hoíche, mo thuras,
na scéalta nach mbeidh a choích.

As the song continues, we cut to a flashback where we see Emily and Victor in the forest together after Elder Gutknecht gives them a hopscotch spell that would help them return if Victor or Emily calls out the name.

No day, no night, no moment,
can hold me back from trying.
I'll fly, I'll fall, I'll falter
I'll find my day may be, Far and Away.
Far and Away.

We cut to another flashback where Victor was about to be attacked by Lord Barkis Bittern, but we see Emily block it by getting an impact on herself and she sees Barkis drinking a wine that has a spell to turn any living being into a corpse and gets turned into a corpse himself before being dragged away by the villagers of the Land of the Dead. Before Emily leaves, Victor remembered that he kept his promise, but she told him that he had set her free and manages to do the same for Victor and says farewell. A light of flash came and we cut back to Emily as she still remembers the most romantic time of her life when she first met the victorian.

One day, one night, one moment,
with a dream to believe in.
One step, one fall, one falter,
find a new earth across a wide ocean.
This way became my journey,
this day ends together, Far and Away.
This day ends together, Far and Away.
Far and Away.

The song ends and Emily walks to a grave and rests on it while two of her friends Maggot, a worm that has been stuck in her head and Widow, a black widow spider watches her sleep before they spoke.

"It's hard for her to miss her "about to be married" Victor", said Widow, "I would've felt the same thing when I missed my husband."

"At first, I didn't like him", said Maggot, "but I was wrong. I think I've really learned what it's like to love humans."

They went and slept next to their dear friend.

That's it for my attempt at a Corpse Bride fanfic. Enjoy and don't forget to review, dear fans.
