AN-I do not own any places or characters in relation to gravity fall or xfiles. Please enjoy, this is my first fan fic. I've also only just started watching xfiles so I only have early (season 1&2) information on the characters.)

Scully could tell Molder could hardly contain himself, openly beaming from the drivers seat next her.

"Our frist official, undeniable case of extraterrestrial activity!" He said completely letting go of his ordinary monotone nonchalance and giving away how excited he was.

"And right in our backyard! They can't hide the truth this time Scully! This is too big to cover up, even for them!"

Scully looked up from her notes feeling apprehensive, but let out a weak smile at the partners childlike glee.

"I still don't know if i'm entirely convinced. I've never heard of this Gravity Falls in Oregon until now, and these photos could have easily been doctored, Molder-" she paused not taking her eyes off him.

"I just don't want you to be disappointed." She finished calmly turning back to her notes and flicking though to find the photographs Molder had been sent.

The photos were quite spectacular. A rivers waterfall running red and pouring into the sky, a small town in ruins and flames. A jagged cross torn though the sky, the inside glowing a bloody red. A pyramid floating directly above and near the towns strange cliffs, a large red ball, floating and covered in chains that anchored it down to the earth.

And, was there some kind of symbol on the front? Scully squinted at it, trying to make it out. Some kind of star?

Scully felt the car slowing down.

She was still studying the photos, looking for shadows or reflections where they didn't belong, anything to give away if it were fake or not. She had to admit, if these were fakes they were the best she'd ever seen.

A car door slam brought her back to reality.

"M-Molder?!"she stammered as he jogged down the road towards the reddening sunset.

If he heard her he didn't bother to look back.

Scully pushed herself into the drivers seat and turned the car off before exiting herself.

What's got him so worked up?

She jogged after him, notes and photos still in one hand and the other hovering nervously over her gun holster.

She could see him ahead standing still in the center of the road, eyes glued to the sky.

As she got closer she called out again and again got no reaction. Finally she followed his gaze and stopped dead still about two feet behind him.

The sky was red. But not because of the sunset. It was the blood red waterfall falling directly up into the sky and in the center, tho far away the jagged cross in the sky glowed eerily in the dying light of the sun.

A weathered sign to the side of them read Welcome to Gravity Falls and underneath someone had graffitied "west of weird" in a shocking pink.

Scully shuffled the rest of the way over to Molder, speachless.

"I don't think i'm going to be dissapointed" he said with a sly smile.
