A/N: My first story hope its good. Part of the 'Milestones Competition'
It had been a long hard day and Harry Potter couldn't wait to return to the Gryffindor common rooms. Something he was still having problems finding, even though it was his second week in Hogwarts.
He walked alone, Ron having gotten detention with Snape for attempting to strike Draco for what seemed like the thousandth time.
Thankfully, there were no other students around to gawk and point fingers at him.
Harry continued to walk the corridors when he heard a scream up ahead. He ran and turned a corner to where the screams came from to find a redheaded girl on the floor covered in black ink.
"Are you ok" he said reaching to pick her up.
"I'll be fine as soon as I get cleaned up." Still looking at the floor she allowed him to help her up.
It was then that she finally faced him and looked at his face. She saw the always present lightning bolt scar and squeaked while jumping back, slipping on the ink and splashing it on him. She immediately tried to get up only to slip again, this time into Harry hitting him in the groin.
"Oh, Merlin" she said as soon as she realized what happened. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry" she repeated frantically as she tried to help him up from the floor.
In a strained voice harry replied, "its ok….. I'll be fine….. I'll just sit for a bit as soon as I get to my common room…..are you alright?."
"Uhm…. Uhm…. Come on I'm taking you to Madam Pomfrey." She completely ignored what he said as she dragged him up the stairs towards the hospital wing. She did not look back and in the process forgot her books and bag, still lying in the ink on the floor.
"Wait, no." He quickly moved to get out of her grasp before another accident occurred.
"I don't need to go to the Hospital wing." She turned around still attempting to drag him. "I'll be fine." He said.
She looked at him and finally let go of his arms.
"Oh, ok…" Her face was a deep bright red. She was looking at his chest as she couldn't look at him in the face.
"Sooooo, what's your name?' Harry finally said.
"It's Susan Bones." She replied in a low voice. Harry would have missed it if he hadn't been paying attention to her. "We are in Herbology together."
"Well it's nice to officially meet you Susan. I'm Harry Potter." He looked at his watch and noticed the time. "I believe we should get to our dorms. It's almost curfew and we both should get cleaned up, seeing as we are covered in ink." She looked down quickly and squeaked.
Noticing her stuff on the floor, Susan immediately ran to her bag, picked up her books and parchment from the floor, threw them into her bag and started to run.
Susan made it to the end of the hallway before she turned around and quickly waved at him before she ran away again.
Harry waved back and yelled "See you in class." He then turned around and began walking back to his dorm. Hoping to reach it in peace and end what was an interesting and long day.
