There was coffee staining her blouse, she'd have to use magic to remove it with how long it had been there. No amount of washing it would save this particular blouse. Her eyes were looking down into her purse as she walked down the main road, she search through the bag in a hurry, muttering curses under her breath as she searched. And Robin of Locksley had been too busy studying everything there was about her to realize that he was literally about to walk into the distracted Queen.
As they collided, she dropped her purse with a muttered swear and had to place her hands on either of his arms to steady herself.
"So sorry your majesty," he says, realizing his mistake of getting distracted, "Didn't mean to run into you like that."
The woman says nothing as she removes her hands from his arms and she reaches down for the bag she has dropped. Shaking her head she stands up straight, corrects her clothing and looks up at him. Her mouth open slightly as though to say something before she stops and frowns.
"I'm sorry, have we met?" she asks after a moment, eyes searching his features.
"No I'm afraid not," Robin shakes his head with a smile, "Perhaps in the missing year?"
The Queen nods thoughtfully, "Perhaps."
There's a small crease in her eyebrows as she thinks it over.
"My apologies," he tells her, holding a hand between them, "Robin of Locksley."
"Mayor Regina Mills," the Queen answers taking his hand, "The thief, I take it?"
Robin lifts her hand to his mouth, a small kiss on her knuckles, "The Queen, I take it?"
The response elicits a smile from the woman in front of him.
"Mayor would be the equivalent in the realm?" he asks, lowering her hand.
"You could put it that way," Regina shrugs, "There's a lot more paperwork."
"And that is hard?"
The woman in front of him lets out a laugh, shaking her head slightly and the thief can only smile in response. There's a sharp ringing noise and their attention is brought back to her purse, of which she sticks her hand back into and pulls out a rectangular object, silencing it.
"I'm sorry," she mutters, replacing the object back into her purse, "I'm late for a meeting with Sheriff Swan and I must get going."
"It's all fine your majesty." He tells her sincerely, "Perhaps I will see you around town again?"
There's a small smile toying at the Queen's lips, "Perhaps you will."
He returns the smile and steps to the side gesturing for her to pass.
"Do watch where you are going Mr. Locksley, you wouldn't want to hurt someone."
"Not at all your majesty."
