Chapter 1 - Doctor, who?!

As I stood there, paralysed, watching the two tin men marching towards me I saw a man running ahead of them. I swear I could see him grinning. As I stood there he came closer and closer. I didn't take long before he was just in front of me.

"Run!" he yelled and as he grabbed my hand my paralysed legs started working again and I started running along side the man.

We sped around a corner and towards an old police phone box. I stared to struggle and tried to get my hand back – we were going to run straight in to that thing. The man turned towards me, still grinning, and snapped his fingers.
Before I really knew what was happening we were running in through the narrow door of the police box. The bang I expected from us running into the back wall was surprisingly absent, instead I stood inside a gigantic room. I stopped as the grinning man let go of my hand and ran up to the console-like-thing in the middle.

"Bringing home strangers now, are we?" A female voice asked. The man shrugged.

"I…" I pointed a finger towards the door. "But…"

"I know, sweetie." The woman said and smiled a small smile at me. Her big curly hair bobbed as she turned to the man. "Well…?"

"Cybermen." He said. "Just like we thought."

"I knew those disappearing's weren't just nothing." She started smiling and soon they were both grinning from ear to ear. Then, at the same time, they both started running around and flipping switches and pressing buttons.

"GERONIMO!" the man yelled and the woman giggled. The thing we were in started making noises.

It was obvious that they knew each other well and that this was something they had done before. As my brain slowly started to work again I realized that I were no where near to being able to wrap my head around what just happened.

"Close your mouth, dear." The woman said. "It's not nice to gawk."

I drew a breath as if to say something but instead closed my mouth.

"I am professor River Song and this is the Doctor. And who might you be?"

Instead of saying my name the only explanation to this craziness popped out of my mouth.

"Is this some kind of Narnia?"

The man called the Doctor sputtered and the woman laughed delighted.

"No!" she said while I looked at the man patting the console I and could swear I heard him murmur "Sorry, love." River rolled her eyes and gave me a look.
"Men and their toys" She said with a smile and a shrug.

"Hey!" the Doctor said. "She's so much more than a toy!"

She, who? Doctor, who? Not Narnia, then were? As my knees buckled I slowly slid down towards the floor.

"Just gonna sit down for a while." I murmured.

"Fix her, will you?" Said River and the Doctor took something out of his pocket as he walked over to me. It made a buzzing noise as he directed it up and down my body.

"She's not broken!" He exclaimed while looking at the thing.

River sighed. "When will you learn? You can't just drag people in here. Some of them go in to shock!"

He did manage to look a bit guilty as he shrugged.
