A Natural Miracle.
Things were going just as Lelouch predicted.
"I've won," The terrorist thought studying the radar image. If Lelouch was interpreting it correctly a strong storm would soon loom over their current position. Though weather conditions were hardly a matter of concern in fights that involved Knightmare suits this storm would become the exception.
"Now then, it's time to end this game." Calmly he tuned the transmitter to the secure frequency. "All units report to Sector Zeta. I repeat all units move out and report to Sector Zeta."
Before his echo faded Lelouch was bombarded with responses. The first came from commander Kouzuki, the talented pilot of the red Knightmare frame Guren MK II.
"Sector Zeta, that's all the way across town. Zero, why are we retreating?"
"I've issued an order. Those who follow it will survive in victory, but those who remain will be defeated." Lelouch relayed his reply to the entire corps, a simple reprimand not only to the ace pilot but to anyone who still questioned his command.
The replies he received this time were the affirmative "Rodger," and all at once the Blacks Knights broke formation and withdrew to the appointed location.
"Just in time," Lelouch grinned as he studied the screen. The sky, which had been gray since the sun rose, grew darker. Lelouch remained where he was, watching his monitor as the black Knightmare retreated and Britannian forces advanced, believing they had won the upper hand.
"Zero why aren't you leaving?" Kallen demanded as the enemy advanced.
When she received no reply Kallen began to turn her war machine around. "Zero!"
"Kallen, stay back!" Lelouch shouted. He was nearly surrounded now.
"No, I'm not leaving without y-"
"Do as I say!"
"But-"
"Now!" he raised the arms of his Knightmare just as a blinding white light streaked over the sky, enveloping the battlefield.
Silence reigned over the filed for a moment as all the Knightmares, terrorist and militant, paused to collect their bearing. The enemy Sutherland closest to Zero's poised its lance to strike when it suddenly exploded with a deafening roar. All around the fallen Knightmare lay a huge block of ice.
Laughter he had bottled up throughout the battle unleashed itself in a shrill chuckling that shook his whole body. He couldn't have timed it better. The Britannian commander is sloppy; if he had been competent he would have known that there have been recent reports of ice bombs in the area. Though extremely rare, the blocks could weigh up to 10 pounds and devastate even the most advance weaponry.
Zero dodged another block of ice as it fell from the sky. Soon they were showered with hundreds of the frozen cloud water. Ice blocks weighing from between five to twelve pounds of pelted the Knightmares on both sides, bits of dented metal and broken glass littered the battlefield as the icy bombs shattered into millions of pieces all around.
"Let's go." Lelouch ordered, leaving Mother Nature to finish desolating the Britannian army.
