Kenji was sleeping peacefully in his little bed. He was having a wonderful dream, about pulling his dad's hair, playing with his mom, and beating up Yahiko.
"Kenji," his mother's sweet voice dripped into his dreams, "Kenji, time to wake up honey. Its time for school." she said sweetly.
Kenji twitched. School. He had to find a way to escape or sweet talk them into not letting him go.the sick act won't work. Geeze, he lives with a doctor! And then of course there's that Fox Lady Magumi. Let's see, oh yeah he knew exactly what to do.
"Kenji, wake up honey." Kaoru said sweetly.
"Come on son it is time to wake up, that it is." his father, Kenshin said.
Kenji moved around and said, "No mommy I want to stay home and make swords with you."
"Now, now, Kenji wake up." Kaoru repeated.
"Come on son wake up." Kenshin added.
Fool, Kenji thought. He knew just what to do to have Kenshin on his side, "No daddy I want to stay home and play batousaii with you. My bestest daddy in the world."
Kenshin smiled, "Maybe he can stay home today?" He gave Kaoru a 'please' look.
"No Kenshin he has to study." His mother said firmly.
"Ok, son wake up." Kenshin said.
Kenji turned around and opened his eyes to see his mother and father looking at him. He gave them the cutest little look and said, "Ok mommy. I'll go, but then maybe later after school can we make swords, and play a batousaii with daddy? If I'm no tired?"
Kaoru and Kenshin looked at each other, Kaoru sighed and said, "Ok, you can stay home today. But that's it. Ok? It's still early so go back to bed." She kissed him on the forehead and left with Kenshin following her.
Hehe, Kenji thought. Just wait until tomorrow I'll make them let me stay home until school's over! HAHAHA! Kenji smiled and rolled over to go back to sleep.
