It was March 13th 2015. Alex Kingston birthday. Matt has been waiting for this all year. today is the day. the day he tells her how he feels abut her. later on that day he telephones Alex. "Hello?" she picks up the phone as she washes the dishes. "Hey Alex its Matt... i was hoping you would let me take you to dinner tonight as a birthday present..." "Oh!" shes says quite excitedly. "sure! i have no plans for the day, Salome went to her friends for a sleep over so i was going to be home alone anyway" Matt laughed as he went to his kitchen. "Really? that s ab it rubbish dont you think?" Alex laughs "no sweetie its fine, i would rather her hang out with her friends then with her old mum!" Matt reply's quickly "Oi! You're not old Alex!" " Oh sweetie... im 53!" "yes darling i know but you dont look it!" They laugh for a couple seconds and then Matt says "Well, ill pick you up at around...hmm lets say about 8:00?" "sure sweetie, can we com back to my flat afterwards and practice our scene?" "sure! i was hoping you wuld say that" "see you later then, sweetie". they both hang up and Matt sits down and thinks about the scene. Their scene. after they fight the Silence River has to kiss the Doctor.
Their was a knock at Alex's door. "Come in!" she says while running around her flat trying to find her other high heel. "Alex no need to rush! the reservations are not for another hour!" Alex stops and sighs with relief. "Oh that goodness! ive been running around afraid i was going to be late!" Matt laughs and hands her her other shoe "Alex sometimes you need to relax and take break" She smiles and sighs while she takes her lost shoe from Matt. "Darling if i had the time i would" she glances to her left and looks at herself in the mirror. "Oh! my makeup! ill be one second i need to get fixed up again!" "no rush darling" she smiles and runs to the bathroom and fix's her makeup. Matt sits down and cant stop smiling. She is so beautiful he things to himself.
After she was ready and got into the car Alex said "well where are we going?" Matt smiled and said "it's your birthday, so I'm taking to you to your favorite place. Portobellos." she gasped and said with excitement "Really?! You would spend that much money on me?! Are you sure sweetie?" "oh Alex. You are worth so much more than money can buy. You are very special to me and I love you very much. I would do anything for you." he smiled and turned on the car. When he looked back at her, before he could even think, she placed her hand on his neck, and pulled him in for a kiss. At first they both were surprised about what just happened, but then it hit them. He put his hand in her beautiful curls and kissed back. It went from a gentle kiss into a passionate kiss. Not a messy sloppy one, but loving. Like they have done this before. Well they would have to, sooner or later. In this case it was sooner.
